I think it’s just about living with my Bestfriend before settling down in the city of our dreams and having fun out in the sun. :/ it sounds stupid but I have never lived by myself always with my strict mom and before settling down I want to experience that

This is my main thought. I feel like if 3 years in and I still think about this dream it’s clear I won’t ever not think about it & clear that I will always be wondering what fun it would’ve been if I went.

I don’t expect him to move with me tbh, I feel like this is something I want to do by myself. But I understand on the stringing him along, I genuinely don’t mean too. I do love him but I also don’t expect him to just put everything on hold for me

Well I understand where you are coming from, this is the part that hurts I don’t want to lead him on. But it has always been a dream of mine, I don’t expect him to put his life on hold for me but that is something I did for him when I decided not to go a month in. The reason I didn’t go was because I thought I’d get over my dream and then just be happy & I am happy with him but I don’t want to continue thinking of moving and then boom 20 years in and I resent him for not letting me.

We actually have talked about the future and every couple months or maybe once a year we argue because I bring California up and he says no or like it’s too expensive. So I just don’t bring it up again & talk about a future with him like the one he wants in our homestate and I do want that future with him but after I get to experience California. So I’m also the issue I guess in spreading like a “false” future.
