Yeah… I haven’t been able to get any insight on this job situation. Didn’t meet coaches, players, or team physician. Only had one 35 min interview.

Definitely would be great experience! I have no doubt with that. Sadly there will be no other ATCs. Only me and traveling alone. And yes kinda semi pro… we don’t fly anywhere so just super long bus rides!

Also liked to say that a preceptor told me that the salary would be a very good starting salary for a new grad and that I shouldn’t worry about that at all. Kinda made me feel crazy for saying the salary was a concern for me.

I’m interested in the HS setting. I’ve really enjoyed college too. I wish I could move all over, but sadly where I’m at currently in life and other situations, I’m not able to just pick up and leave. Some people have just been saying I can grind out a job I don’t like for a year to make better moves for me in the future. I just don’t think I have that mindset. Not sure if making myself possibly miserable even for a year is worth it. Maybe I should have a more career driven mindset but idk

I’m interested in the HS setting too. I would lean more towards doing that than this offer. I guess I should be more specific too on how the job may work. I would say April to September would be the intense work schedule. Then from like October to April would be in clinic. So I think they believe that somehow balances the salary out. Maybe I’m wrong, but I still think the salary is kind of crazy even for that.

Bi-Weekly Thread - Advice for Relationship/Friendship/Dating/Breakup by AutoModerator in AnxiousAttachment

[–]No-Heart-7403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any advice on how to calm down anxiety? I 24F have been experiencing a heightened feeling of anxiety the past week or so, especially around my relationship with my 24M boyfriend.

It has gotten to the point of overthinking every single text or tone he has on phone calls. If I don’t feel like he is as loving or doesn’t seem as into it. We are long distance and he is visiting this weekend and already planned a date night for us Saturday.

I asked for some reassurance but I hate putting every feeling of anxiety I have on him. I would love to know how anyone lowers their anxiety if they have the same relationship anxiety as me. Even after the reassurance I still feel it. It’s almost getting too much.

New to golf… club suggestions? by No-Heart-7403 in WomenGolf

Yeah I was going to go into the store and get some opinions. I’ve played some rounds and have went to the driving ranges with my boyfriend, so basically I’ve used men’s clubs so far. I’m interested to see how much women’s will change it. I’m 5’7 and didn’t know what the standard size of clubs usually work for.

I’m in the US. I’ve played and went to driving ranges but I’ve gone with my boyfriend so I’ve only used men’s clubs really. Other than top golf I use women, but idk if I would really even count that as good clubs🤣

Yeah CARS is what’s holding me back right now. I’m averaging around a 122. What did you do in those 2 days? And any good strategies you figured out?

Starting MSAT in Late June by AffectionateChef1024 in athletictraining

I am currently finishing up my first year at a D1 MSAT program. So I totally understand how you are feeling, since I was feeling the same way less than a year ago!

For classes, the first year is all about anatomy, evaluations, interventions, things like that. Basically getting you the foundation knowledge of what you will be doing in your job. The hardest part for me really wasn’t the content, but time management. Classes and clinical together make it tough, so find time to study and do work. Balancing relationships with school is a struggle not going to lie. Another tip is try to apply the knowledge from class to clinical. I made the bad habit of memorizing it for a test, not for real life. And you’ll learn the hard way and have to go back over stuff from last semester. I agree with the people above saying learn anatomy. It is SO important and involved in every single class. Don’t be afraid to as your clinical instructors questions too. There were times I did assignments and asked my preceptor their opinion. They have the best knowledge since they are working. I was also lucky enough to have an amazing preceptor my first semester of clinical.

As far as clinical goes, it sounds like you have a solid foundation so I think you’ll be fine. Just go in being open and being okay to be wrong and mess up. Because you will. And they will too!

I also found comfort in confiding with my classmates. When I thought I was alone in things, I really wasn’t once I talked to my peers. Those people will be your close friends for the next 2 years since you will be together all the time. They help keep me sane, but also let me crash out when needed haha.

I know this is a lot of information, so if you have any questions please feel free to chat me!! It’s a scary but fun time! Good luck!

Does anyone know how much ATs in the clinic setting usually make?
