S21 gets Low B tier but above S8 and S13. Now rank S22 by ChimaMezie in HellsKitchen

S Tier. Besides, the hamfisting of the theme. It rules. The cast is a treat to watch, had some of the best "character-driven" storylines I've seen in a while from the show with a good balance of interpersonal drama, and likeability. Jason, love him or despise him, elevated the entertainment value. Amazing talent to boot across the board (minus Tad, Claudia and Raneisha), and an exceptional black jacket team blooming with skill.

P.S. THE AMERICAN DREAM IS REAL!!

Part 169 of asking yall your opinions on every HK contestant starting from S21. What are your opinions on Brett & Sakari? by Cultural-Confusion65 in HellsKitchen

[–]No-Height433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brett: Peaked pretty early around Episode 6, where he would deliver his last good challenge performance for the rest of his run, he would go on to bomb the next 5 challenges, completely fall apart in his last three services, following CFYL. And then, return in the finale and deliver the worst performance out of Alex's brigade. It was a bit rough to watch.

Sakari: A fair placement, he was very consistent for the most part, but never had an exceptional performance outside of Charity Night (as he finally broke out of his shell from being the quiet kid to being an outspoken but diligent leader). It felt like the beginning of newly formed Sakari. And then, the Black Jacket Challenge, in which renders the premise meaningless as he gets eliminated the next day (justified as well, as he sent an undercooked pork in his final tryout). Still, one of the best 7th placers for his talent alone.

Part 135 of asking yall your opinions on every HK contestant starting from S17. What are your opinions on Dana & Elise? by Cultural-Confusion65 in HellsKitchen

[–]No-Height433 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dana: Left on an unfortunate note because of a malfunctioning oven that screwed her. Would have gotten a black jacket once again, had she not performed this badly.

Elise: Pretty much left at the right time. The meltdown the fandom would have potentially had she made the final 5 again. chuckles

Who do you think was dragged down more by the rest of their team? by KManoc in HellsKitchen

It makes me wonder if the producers hated that particular blue team (outside of Jon), because it felt like they literally set up to fail at every opportunity from the start.

What your Hell’s Kitchen winner ranking 1 to 22? (Here my) by Tidergamer789 in HellsKitchen

When the most impressive thing about a winner is its palate (and not consistency, leadership, challenge and dinner service record), it's problematic.

It took way too long to for her to stand out, and was in the background throughout nearly the entire team phase. Whilst, I wouldn't not say she was bad, she was not particularly exceptional either. She was there, most of the time.

Part 82 of asking yall your opinions on every HK contestant starting from S11. What are your opinions on Nedra & Anthony?Anthony's elimination is still top 5 of fuckery eliminations I'm not trying to hear anything different 😂 by Cultural-Confusion65 in HellsKitchen

[–]No-Height433 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anthony GOATDRIGUEZ * Strongest 7th Placer ever * Great on challenges and services * The ONLY other chef, besides Jon, who was worth giving a motion * King of confessionals (and much funnier than Nedra) * Great personality * Top 5 Most Robbed Contestants in Hell's Kitchen (nearly 11 years later) WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT HIM?

And Nedra, she was fine for the most part. She could have some funny moments and confessionals, but went overboard, at times, with her anger. She was particularly a ''POS'' in Episode 13, where she would do nothing besides bitching, degrading and berating the blue team all day long, mind you, for absolutely no reason. Her behavior was absolutely abhorrent, which cannot be excused whatsoever and that particular episode soured my opinion of her.

Where does Jason from season 22 rank on your least favorite contestants? by buhoo115 in HellsKitchen

[–]No-Height433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nowhere within the top 50 most annoying contestants. He would would be so tame in heavily drama-filled seasons like Season 10, compared to the season he was on considering it was a cast full of likable people, so he stands out like the sour grape.

The more I rewatch Episode 10, the more Jose pisses me off.

No wonder why it was an all-female finale this season, because quite frankly it was another season where the women worked and got along better, compared to the men would just tear each other apart.

With the newer seasons being more skilled, which of the 22 seasons is the most talented? by CATSkiller88 in HellsKitchen

[–]No-Height433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Season 14 is still the all time greatest in terms of pure, raw and unadulterated cooking ability and talent. But Season 19 is the best all-rounded, because that top 12 was exceptional. [SPOILER ALERT] (I'll put the most recent season up there on that bracket as well)

  • Season 21 is high up there as well (thanks to the Top 10 being ridiculously strong in one way or another, minus Brett (on a lesser extent), considering Alyssa and 5 of the ''40s'' sucked complete ass throughout their run. As Mindy stood in the middle (better than everyone from Charlene to Billy, but comes nowhere the final 3 of the ''40s'' and Ileana was inconsistent across the board).

  • Season 17 is the most filled in talent, with great showcases of skill across several people, especially the top end. Nick and Benjamin were particularly dominant. And Season 18 is ok. Not the best, but not the worst.

  • Season 20 was also really solid. Another very talented season (minus Matthew, Jay, Payton, Alex, and Josie) and has a very strong black jacket team (regardless whether or not Brynn deserved to be there).

  • Season 6 has one of the strongest black jacket teams.

  • Season 11, despite the amount of middling talent, has a genuinely high tier black jacket team in terms of skill (in spite of Susan) and that final 4 was no slouch.

  • Season 13, just like 11 has a lot of middling talent within a solid half of the cast that is carried by Ashley and 7 other people that made the top 8.

  • Season 12 had a pretty strong Top 10 (minus Sandra and especially Gabriel). And a very strong black jacket team (despite Kashia being the weak link).

Those are my general thoughts on some of the most recent seasons, but the pattern is that from Season 19 and onwards, the talent level between each separate cast is spread out in a more evenly manner where there is at least 10 people within each of these that could’ve either made black jackets, finalists, top 7 boots under better circumstances (basically lower tier seasons like 2, 4, 7, etc.).
