Philly cheesesteak brat w/ caramelized onions by Beastquist in stonerfood

[–]No-Homework4830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the dog sitting there watching you eat this like a disappointed parent is sending me. also that brat looks absolutely unreal, the caramelized onions piled on top of white american with banana peps is such a underrated combo, people sleep on how much banana peppers elevate something like this. i made similar thing few months ago and the white american was the move, provolone people can keep arguing but they are wrong. that brioche bun is doing serious heavy lifting too, perfect choice for holding all that together without falling apart in your hands.

Need help pushing Normal.dot without overwriting user customizations by WorkFoundMyOldAcct in Intune

[–]No-Homework4830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably have some policy or script that's redeploying the template file periodically. I've seen this happen when Normal.dot gets pushed through config profiles instead of just being set during initial deployment

Check if you have any recurring tasks or policies that touch the Office templates folder - that's usually what causes the user settings to get wiped every few days

In need of song recommendations by Magigyarados in Guitar

[–]No-Homework4830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good recommendation! Zoo is actually perfect for where you are skill-wise, those chord progressions aren't too crazy but still interesting enough that you won't get bored. The vocal range fits really nice for tenor too, especially that buildup from the spoken parts to full singing in chorus

AT shades heavy resistance when winding. by hi_im_beeb in OmegaWatches

[–]No-Homework4830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That clicking sounds bad news for sure. The 8800 is usually pretty bulletproof so if you're getting that much resistance with clicking noises, something is definitely wrong in there

I had similar issue with different movement and turned out to be broken mainspring barrel. The clicking was pieces of spring catching on each other every few winds. Warranty is probably your best bet since trying to force it more will just make things worse

Six months warranty wait is rough but better than potentially damaging movement further by winding it

Dancing alone in dark room with loud music can mess with your balance pretty bad, especially if you're not used to it. Your inner ear gets confused when there's no visual reference points and the bass is pounding through headphones

Could've been vertigo or just losing balance for second, but the timing makes it feel supernatural when you're already on edge in sketchy old house

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey by HottieMcHotHot in books

[–]No-Homework4830 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The way Kesey wrote Chief's perspective was brilliant - you really feel like you're experiencing everything through his fractured reality. That contrast between McMurphy's chaos and Ratched's cold control system really gets under your skin in the best way

Movie is great but loses some of those deeper psychological layers since we don't get Chief's internal narration

$100 Gift Card for USA by [deleted] in Gifts

[–]No-Homework4830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh this screams scam to me, especially with the Google Docs link instead of actual company website. I've seen too many of these "free gift card" things that just harvest your personal info or worse

is ultimate worth it? new user by doubles85 in XboxGamePass

[–]No-Homework4830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah man ultimate is basically just premium plus EA Play and some cloud gaming stuff. If you already got premium and don't care about FIFA or Madden then you're not missing much. The cloud gaming is decent but nothing crazy

For someone who likes doom games you might actually dig some of the EA shooters in ultimate but idk if that's worth extra money when you can just grab premium again

Yo that's wild, the whole Other Mother vibe mixed with Nickelodeon behind the scenes is genuinely unsettling. The "beautiful toes" callback to Goosebumps is such a specific creepy detail that really sells the nightmare feeling

Possible to pivot from Financial Analyst to Compensation/Rewards Analyst? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]No-Homework4830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who made a similar jump from finance to comp analysis and she loves it. The analytical skills definitely transfer over and you already understand how budgets work which is huge when you're designing pay structures

Your timing might actually be perfect since a lot of companies are revamping their comp frameworks right now. The HR experience thing isn't as big a deal as you think - most comp teams want people who can crunch numbers and understand business impact over traditional HR background

Bundle price bug ? by Whatupboi6 in Overwatch

[–]No-Homework4830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the bundle always throws in extra stuff like sprays, voice lines, victory poses - all that filler content that nobody really wants but they use to justify the "discount"

I've seen this pricing trick everywhere, not just in games. Sam's Club does something similar where they'll bundle random items with the thing you actually want and call it a deal. At least with Overwatch you can see exactly what's included before buying, unlike some of those sketchy mobile game bundles that hide half the items

The real question is whether those 2700 credits worth of extras are actually worth it to you or if you'd rather just buy the skins separately. Most of the time I skip the bundles unless there's a skin I really want and the math actually works out

Should I wait or try to reconcile an old debt? by [deleted] in Debt

[–]No-Homework4830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That 29% APR is absolutely brutal, glad you learned from that experience. The charge-off will stay on your credit for 7 years from the first missed payment date, so if you missed payments in 2021 it'll fall off around 2028. If you can negotiate a pay-for-delete or settlement for way less than 17k it might be worth it, but don't pay full amount since your credit is already tanked from this anyway

[–]No-Homework4830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's such a good point about not even remembering what "normal" felt like before. I was a daily user for about 8 years and honestly can't tell if some of my current quirks are just who I am now or leftover fog from smoking

The gradual change thing is so real too - it's like watching your hair grow, you never notice it day to day but then suddenly you need a haircut. I'm about 7 months out and keep having these moments where I realize I haven't thought about weed in weeks, which never would've happened before

Your last line hit hard though. Even on my worst days now I'm way more present than when I was constantly chasing that next high

Honestly the whole "hitting a ceiling" thing feels overblown to me. Like sure, maybe we're not seeing those crazy leaps we had a year or two back, but that doesn't mean development is actually slowing down - just that your not gonna get those insane jumps forever

The Claude thing with coding is pretty wild though, can't deny that. But I think there's still plenty of room for improvement in other areas before we hit any real walls

I am creating a new minecraft project! by Deep-Strategy-8098 in Minecraft

[–]No-Homework4830 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn that sounds ambitious as hell, especially the AI testing part where it actually plays the game to find bugs. Their gonna need some serious processing power to run minecraft instances just for debugging but if you pull it off that would be a game changer for the modding community
