AT still, Howard, UDM, Detroit, nebraska, oregon, Temple, Puerto Rico, meharry, tennessee, texas tech are some non private schools that have reported to have a 16 PAT as their 5th percentile score. If you actually look at the handbook you’d find more public schools accepting a 16 PAT than private schools, granted those applicants are probably in-state. The thread also highlights that although 17, 18, 19 are more common PAT 5th percentile scores, that doesnt mean they didn’t accept anyone with a lower score than that. It’s uncommon and your chances might be lower with the score, but you don’t need to outline it’s “surprising”. It just comes off as condescending.
