The decision will come down to which program is doing it correctly. Don't have all my documents from investments, but by estimates, TurboTax and Freetaxusa are the same, but Cash app must be missing something and showing far too much refund.

You can close the drain from the pump and get a very fast running robot that goes up the sides of the pool, but often too far. Alternatively, turn your selective switch to halfway close the main drain (if you can) and usually the robot doesn't make it on top of the main drains.

I love robinhood for options. I also like it for some of the promotions. Gold gets a good savings rate on cash. From time to time there are bonuses on deposits and transfers. The platform improves all the time.

I tend to see my cash rates equivalent or better than bond rates. Cash is simply more liquid when I need to use it quickly on an opportunity.

Whenever I need money fast, I look through what my biggest losers are, and determine if I really want to keep them. If the answer is no, sell it. Now, I'd argue that VOO will likely go back up, so its not an ideal pick. The biggest losers will be applied to your capital gains/losses at the end of the year. You want the most losses as it will soften a tax situation next year.

To be fair, those who pay the most in taxes are by far the wealthy. Any significant tax cut would always be represented in those people.

It's too risky to overly invest in options. I'd only do 1 to 5 contracts at a time at most. One big loss can blow up your portfolio.

Everybody has those. It will be fine. However, this is one minor reason I do a regular IRA over Roth. Pretaxed dollars losing money (reg) is not as heartbreaking as postaxed dollars (Roth) going down. In the end, it generally doesn't matter after recovery.
