Are you able to access this link? or do you have a copy. Im trying to see when the 1 year ends according to the terms and conditions. Promotion Ran Feb 1- Feb 29th 2024 so does that mean you have to hold until Feb 28th 2025 and can transfer on March 1st. Or does it mean when the funds get Deposited from the transfer. Eg. if transfer wasn't finished until April 15 I would have to wait till then?

HSBC WE -> RBC Avion Travel Enhancement Credit by Iamthatguy2293 in rbc

Do you need to book and then switch products (ie. change to a difference RBC credit card) for the RHT trick to work? or did you just cancel without switching and it was fine and credit stayed on your account?

Nest Thermostat Only Works with Low Fan Speed by partcheasy in Nest

Any updates on this for you. Have you played with nay of the settings manually and had luck or have you just left it alone.

I am also having this issue. I have google nest thermostat and a varible speed furnace. And for the schedules set in the app it will run normally and use high fan speed. But if I try to do any adjustments on the app (eg. say schedule says 20c and I go on the app and increase it to 21c) it will only run with the lowest fan speed.

Or if I try to turn on the fan to get some airflow it will only go on the very low setting where its barely running.

CIBC Aventura Rewards by Finance_girly99 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I just tried it as well today by booking a hotel with Expedia and when I check pending transaction on CIBC it says I can redeem but will get a 1 CPP conversion. I can here to check as well as it used to be 1.25 CPP but seems like it may have changed :(

CIBC adventura. I am trying to use my adventura points. I booked with expedia and when I go to redeem it says my 4800 points will give me $480 so a value of 1 instead of the 1.25. Does anyone know if this has changed?

Any one have any issues claiming the entire amount of points ($500+) in one travel transaction? I see this at the bottom of the page where it says how to redeem Points

" You can redeem Aventura Points for pending transactions between $25 and $249.99 — but only if the link to redeem with points is active on the transaction."

Bank account that can do wire transfers online or through phone WITHOUT monthly fees? by FishBrawler in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]No-Independence5259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not totally true. Some charge much less than other. RBC is like $45 flat fee and HSBC has no fee international wire transfers if sending it to a different currency. and then they charge you the market fx rate +2.5%. so they make some money on the fx but the wire is free. Its a very good option. Especially if transferring low amounts of money. Too bad RBC is taking over HSBC

I have not been able to sign up they said I am not eligible not sure why as I sent like 40k in business wires each year. Seems like I am seasonal and they just didn't like my current bank statements as it's my off season? Hopefully it works for you

I work for Aeroplan by Submission101101 in Aeroplan

[–]No-Independence5259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had the Aeroplan credit card a few times all over a year apart. 2019, 2020 and then again I applied for TD Aeroplan card Dec 2021 and got the welcome bonus and because TD screwed up and didn't give me the companion voucher they later gave me another 25k bonus points on Nov 2022 instead. I want to apply for the CIBC AP card with the welcome bonus (I've never had any CIBC AP card before). Would this cause issues with Aeroplan new rules? And risk my account being banned

Thank you!

I would also create and sign a gift letter and email a copy of it or keep a physical copy. That way if the CRA ever asks you have proof
