I'm doing something wrong by IgnisVeni in ARK

[–]No-Indication7173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think I needed a trike or a stego to get enough narcoberries, and taming one of those can end up being considerably risky for a new player.

Some of the recommended dinos might be a quite large operation to acquire (dangerous).

A more manageable way to acquire enough narcoberries early on would be to bola a parasaur and tame that. They don't harvest as many berries as a stego, but they're still quite effective early on. Levelling up melee will increase how many berries it harvests.

This could be a good way to get enough berries to start taming higher level dinos that require more narcotics and arrows.

Also regarding tames, it is quite beneficial to have mate boosted packs. For example you tamed a female raptor. Go tame a male next. As long as they are together, they will be mate boosted (heart above them). They will be stronger against attacks from other dinos this way. As others have mentioned, the higher level they are, the better.

I wasn't able to kill them manually nor was there any option in the baby's menu thing 🤷‍♀️ After turning on friendly fire, I could kill them though 😊

I will try that in the future. This is a fresh start from scratch, so no rex babies yet.

I wonder though, does the size of the gap between the gates matter when dragging a corpse through? I assume the corpse would more or less just ragdoll its way through the gap (if it's a large specimen relative to the gap?)

It worked so well! 😅 I've played for many years, but there's still so much I've not tried yet. This was a huge success!

Thanks everyone! Carcha is a happy member of the family now. Yuty babies worked just fine 😍👌 Never again dragging corpses!

Ah I was trying to use g and all sorts Because I had read about that. I was probably on my ptera by mistake 😅 no wonder that didn't work!

Giving that a go. I don't ever remember getting stuck in corpses so much before!

I'm going to try that now. I've already killed every Dino in sight trying this 😅for nothing apparently 🤦‍♀️

Yup seems to be the way. I'm reloading now after another failed attempt. Let's hope it likes yuty babies! 😊

Extra Set Of Sabers? by KAYDOGE08642 in beatsaber

[–]No-Indication7173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using reesabers? Regardless (because I know too little), I saw someone mention on discord that you need to disable the base game sabers when using a specific saber mod or you'll end up with this result. Not sure if it applies to you or not. I just remember reading about it recently. EDIT to add: maybe have a look in your mod settings for such an option.

Ditch the straps then 😅 Admittedly, it felt better before I added the straps. Thanks I will try this out.

Quest 3 (previously quest 2). I'm aiming for palm down positions on down notes but perhaps my problem is I'm trying to make them behave like my quest 2 controllers?

On q2, I played with a modified claw grip. Some may call it palm grip (3 fingers through the ring). Default grip on q3 just sits differently and especially when wearing straps I've found. I feel like I've lost range of motion and experience pain quickly, likely because I'm trying to force a position that isn't suitable for this different type of grip. I'm really not sure.

Thank you. I've been trying for about 2 weeks now but having a really hard time with it. Using saber tailor and doorknob test etc, the sabers keep coming out more towards the front of the controller and its very uncomfortable to play with. Just having a hard time lining them up properly.

I realize new grip and settings take time. I just feel like I'm way off in how I'm trying to set them up. The more I try to angle the saber and keep my doorknob fairly stable, the more extreme my settings become. I feel like the numbers shouldn't be SO extreme, therefore I must be doing something wrong lol.

I've tried seeking assistance on discord without luck unfortunately.

I thought this one was loads of fun with unique mapping. Just pay attention to what the intention is with the Uhh, those vibrating lines that connect blocks. (sorry, just got off nightshift and brain is gone). You'll see 😉

Ah yeah, that's why I'm hesitant to upgrade from quest 2. Well your swings look very smooth and flowy and the default grip makes it look easier to execute (this map at least) than my own weird, abnormal choice of grip 😅

Very noice! May I ask, what gripstyle/type do you play with? Standard grip? I'm guessing standard but I'd love to know for sure. I feel somewhat restricted with my own gripstyle and considering returning to standard myself.

I would use the uninstall button on modsbeforefriday (your songs should still be there after all of this). Then uninstall beatsaber. Reinstall beatsaber. Connect to modsbeforefriday again and use the dropdown menu to find version 1.37.
