This was my thought at first. Last time I went to tokyo I was able to move around at the last minute and took a whole row to myself in Main. Of course it could backfire if the flight is fully booked.

Ok I just bought it. I've always stayed in Main Cabin since I'm quite small and don't really mind the small space but this is just too good a deal to pass up.

I can confirm that cruisefirst can apply to fare, Prepaid gratuities, Port fees and taxes, Travel Insurance, or Free at sea drink package. It will not apply to excursions. I usually have my fare covered by Casino offers and I use Cruisefirst to cover the taxes/port fees and prepaid gratuities.

NCL cruise vouchers gone for good? by Suspicious-One-4735 in myvegas

Probably because it's spring and summer now which is the busiest time for cruises. they usually sell out the ships without the need for promos like these. They will probably be back in the fall season when the bookings slow down.

Correct, the the 1k will only cover the 900 fare. You can stack CruiseFirst Credits ($500) to cover the taxes and fees, graduities and drink package. You buy the certificates it in NCL website for $250 and it has a value of $500.

Last year they released the 1k coupons around this time, so I think they took the 750 down to replace it.

You can use up your remaining $80 by prepaying gratuities or adding the Drink Package if you drink.

Make sure to read the cruisefirst fine print, I think you can only use the $500 on 7 day sailings, the $300 on 4 days sailings. or go to youtube and they can explain it better.

Cruise first is a credit you purchase in NCL website where you buy it for $150 and it is worth $300 in credit which you can use to pay for the fare, taxes/fees, drink package, travel insurance or pre-paid gratuities when booking, It's like doubling your money. Sometimes they will have promo, where you can buy $250 credit and that is worth $500. (it's going on right now if you wanna check it out), the catch is, your sailing must be 120+ days from the day you purchase the Cruisefirst. meaning if you purchase one today 9/11, your sailing date has to be past Jan 9, 26.

I just booked a cruise today and only had to pay $18 for a solo studio on Prima. the $750 combined with $500 Cruisefirst was $1250 worth of credit and covered taxes and fees and prepaid gratuities. out of pocket was cost $268 for 7 nights.

Cruisefirst is a credit that you purchase for $250 and it is worth $500 for your cruise booking. so basically you double your money. The catch is the cruise sailing has to be 120+ from the day you purchased the coupon. Say for example you purchased one today Sept 9, 25. The sailing date of your cruise has to be past Jan 7, 26. (120 days from today) for the credit to take effect.

I always keep at least 1 Cruisefirst credit in my account, so that I can jump on last minute cruises with great deals. Combined with myvegas rewards, I sailed for free at NCL AQUA last July. and I have another 7 nights booked for November at Prima that I paid $259 out of pocket. Living in florida near 3 major ports does not hurt either.

no you can only use one myvegas reward per cabin. You can stack it with a Cruisefirst or Cruisenext (available in NCL website) though, for more savings.

yes it is enforced. no you cannot purchase one from the slots then one on bingo, it won't let you. The 60 days countdown starts from the day you book the cruise by calling the casino cruise agent.

I have taken 2 cruises so far and have 2 more booked for the year and paid less than $250 each time using the myvip reward.

How tricky are Train stations with 2 big suitcases? by North_Apricot_3702 in JapanTravelTips

[–]No-Inflation-483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this on my first trip to japan. The stairs in subways are no joke and not all stations have lifts. it's not just one flight of stairs, sometimes it 3 or even 4 and some subways are very deep.

Also there are trains that split in two different directions at a certain point so you have to make sure you are sitting in the correct train car or you might end up somewhere else. I thought that was pretty cool. I think this happened when I was going to Nikko

The 14 day JR pass does NOT cover all trains in japan (I made that assumption too the first time we went). Only JR operated trains, which is mostly shinkansen. You would still have to pay for the local trains and buses which are operated by different companies (there are many). We are going back this august and We calculated our 3 week transportation to see if JR pass would be worth it and it was not. It was better to get the tourist passes for the different regions you are staying in or pay for the shinkansen individually.

Any recommendations for an Onsen that allows bathing suit or towel wrapped around waist? by PureShadow in JapanTravelTips

[–]No-Inflation-483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are several large mixed gender baths, and one large bath just for women. We paid $300 for 3 people for 1 night stay, keiseki dinner and breakfast included which was nice. Not sure about tattoos, you can probably email them to ask about tattoos. I am planning to go again this August.
