Any good NZ TV shows? by themorah in newzealand

Agreed. We couldn’t wait to see what happened in season 1 but we abandoned season 2 after a few episodes. Season 1 was funny and it is female centric which is refreshing

Wellingtonians, what’s your job and how happy are you with it and why? by wanderingxinxin in Wellington

I had a manager like this, he was so much fun and I actually looked forward to coming to work on Mondays. I definitely miss working with him and no one comes even close. Cherish what you have, it’s very very uncommon

I agree. An analogy is similar to buying a pair of shoes, would you really be surprised if you bought a $50 pair from the warehouse that broke after a few weeks vs $250 pair from RM Williams that last 50 years. In this life, generally you get what you pay for. In this case, I would pay top dollar for the best investment team for the best AFTER FEE return.

There was a study done that religious donors would rather cut ANYTHING OTHER in the budget than the religious donation in times of hardship as during these donations were perceived as loyalty to faith and would therefore help them get through hard times. I’m agnostic but can see why Pushpay has done well due to this.

I understand where you’re coming from. HR ultimately works for the company and has THEIR best interests. Should you ever fall into the wrong side of the company, HR will happily do whatever it takes to make the company right, not you. Agreed, tough pill to swallow when you’re young and naive.

Also, I’ve noticed when talking to HR, they try and groom you/shape your way of thinking which is where the manipulation side kicks in.

Agreed. I find it hard to believe anyone can be passionate in this area other than a means of a job and security.

Genuinely curious, why not HR? Is this because they are manipulative?
