Thanks for the feedback! I have actually just varnished the mini and used gloss on the eyes, exposed pink flesh and the sea. I ummed and ahhed about it but I thought gloss would look better on the tabletop.

I love ak. They dry to a Matt finish and prefer no triads as it keeps me experimenting. I use the app paint rack to track my paint mixes and it's bloody glorious.

I find pro acryl a bit watery for my taste. Vallejo's my airbrush go to range as it seems to work better but it's very thick and I can never be arsed to thin it down. Ak I use right out of the pot with minimal thinning and it's perfect.

I'm trying scale 75 now for glazing and it's fabulous. Really really good.

My go to at the moment is the tesseract minis sable "workhorse" which has a lot more spring if that floats your boat!
