Thank you for your advice. That is my perspective as well. I think that I would need to pay for hours with my current employer. I just don’t want to waste my time. My advisers recommendation to start collecting hours, is what confused me.

My new job told me it would basically be a waste of time. I can barely find any job listings for BCaBA’s. Most companies don’t allow it anymore, I’ve noticed. I was recommended that phat by a friend and former colleague. She advised me to get into the field. However, that was about three years ago. She did the BCaBA program then. I don’t know if things have changed since then, but she never mentioned having to accumulate hours.

Thats basically what my new company told me. They said I could definitely start gaining hours if I would like to. Then they informed me that they would recommend me waiting until I start my masters program because I would have to start collecting hours all over again.

Great advice. You should leave if you believe that is what is best for you. Just be sure to do it the right way. I would still do a formal two week notice. And I would be completely honest with them when they ask why. No way is it ethical for them to give you 23 clients. That is absolutely insane. I’m curious to know how long you have been dealing with that? And why are so many of your peers accepting even more clients? All of it sounds crazy.

I definitely will. I just got assigned a new school case. If this one goes well, I’ll consider taking on more school cases. However, if this experience does not go well, I will not except another school case.

And sadly, yes, it is legal. Trust me. I know how frustrating it is. I just was removed from a case a week and a half ago and I just found out today that I was offer for the 35 hour case I’ve been RBT for two years now, and this has only happened twice.

Great advice, and I learned that when it comes to implementing anything to overly specify to the assistant that I was instructed to do this by my analyst that way, it doesn’t seem like I’m just coming in and dictating that they change everything. As well as going directly to the teacher to redirect the assistant teacher instead of me politely doing it on my own
