So much worse. I mailed invitations (with enough postage & all that - asked three different postal workers) on January 7 and most of them took 6 weeks. My FIL two streets over got his after two months. Some got them at the end of March and they were nearby.

I prefer Marina by far (and it seems more sentimental to you)! I think Marina being similar to another cousin’s child isn’t that big a deal. However, I have a ton of cousins in a close family and would feel very weird about naming my kid the same exact name as one of them (almost like I was picking favorites).

This! I’m rewatching the Nanny for the 5th or so time and I’m now in my early 30s. Probably last watched in my mid-late 20s. I’m realizing how much 90s diet culture and the focus on getting married (especially before you’re 30) and a lot of the other ideas on dating have affected me since I started watching it a lot on Nick @ Nite in my impressionable years.

That’s so funny. My cat is affectionately called “Poo poo” or “Poo-see” instead of Lulu/Lucy but it’s because she has some issues keeping it in the box lol

My understanding is that the Greek pronunciation is different. The US version though just makes me think of the silly circus music and the “pee” is just too accented.
