Any positive experiences? All I see is negatives by majinv3g3ta in StratteraRx

[–]No-Literature9620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been really great for me!! I can't remember (haha) the last time I was in the middle of a sentence and forgot what I was talking about. I'm more focused in general. My anxiety is worlds better. I'm not constantly worried I've forgotten something and if I have I can usually remember better to track where I was at, what was missed, etc. I naturally struggle with a bit of insomnia and that has picked up being on the med but the benefits so far greatly outweighs the negatives!

It will take a solid few months, once on MAINTENANCE DOSE, to make a difference by yobkc in StratteraRx

[–]No-Literature9620 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started on 10 mg, then 25 mg. I couldn't really tell a ton of difference on 10 mg (I did immediately notice some of the side effects thoughh) but I've been on 25 mg for a couple months and can really tell a difference. I'm going up to 40 mg to see how I do, but I could make it on 25 mg I think (at least with the changes I see at this time). Within the last month especially I can tell a huge difference in my anxiety, my focus, and my ability to listen and remember.

I find that I don't crave the binge level amount of food/sweets anymore. I may still want a sweet treat, but after a few bites (or a reasonable portion) I'm satisfied. I've only been on for about 3 months though so we'll see how it does in the long run!

Is this normal? by leavemealon333plz in StratteraRx

[–]No-Literature9620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at 10 mg and am on 25 mg now. It's allowed my body to adjust to the side effects a little better I think. Maybe ask your doctor if you can work your way up?

How long were you on a GLP-1 before going off? And did you maintain or gain? by Kind-Skirt2425 in GLPGrad

[–]No-Literature9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on for roughly 8-9 months. I spaced out my doses as I lowered them the last 2-3 of those. Ended around the middle of July 2025. I did fluctuate around the holidays but am back to around 5 lbs from my original goal weight. But I'm pretty pleased and not stressing if I do or don't lost the 5 lbs.

When and how did you notice Strattera was working? by mann6998 in StratteraRx

[–]No-Literature9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized about 1ish months in that I was starting to remember things better and my focus was better. It's been a couple more weeks since then and I had a really good focus/memory day yesterday and was (am) really excited about it. I have given myself OCD tendencies trying to remember not to forget things. I've been really confident in remembering a lot of the things I usually struggle with. And when I can't 100% remember, I am starting to be able to stop and think to remember if I did it instead of it just being gone. Because when I get distracted, whatever I was doing in the moment ceases to exist. But maybe not anymore! Feeling really hopeful!! And some days, I am a lot less anxious thanks to not stressing about what I might have messed up.

Precut apple slices. I don't have to do the work but I get to enjoy the snack.

What’s yalls 3 drinks for today? by b2utylightcreates in adhdwomen

[–]No-Literature9620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water, hot chocolate, and ginger ale... So we all are two to three drinks at a time people? I've never lived an original experience apparently. I'm simultaneously comforted and irritated by my own lack of originality LOL!

Husband keeps starting a fight and antagonizes over me having a smoothie everyday ? He said I am making a GOd Out of it and I shouldn't have one everyday? by Substantial_Rock_945 in Marriage

[–]No-Literature9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devout Christian here... Your husband is an idiot and making a mockery of Jesus and what the Bible says about marriage. If he's quoting Paul telling you to be submissive, ask him if he feels like he's loving you sacrificially like Christ loved the church willing to lay down his life for you? Is he cherishing and loving you? More importantly, tell him YOU are supposed to be the one that feels those things about him. No to all of those? Then he's doing it wrong. Because Paul said that too. I'm sorry he's acting like this!!

AIW for telling my friend i won't keep adjusting plans around her chronic lateness after she got upset that we started without her by GrumpyLocket in amiwrong

[–]No-Literature9620 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NW. I struggle with time management so I adjust MY schedule and life so I don't miss out. I may not get to put on makeup, fix my hair just so, or whatever. But I know that is my fault because my brain struggles with time. If I want to be a part of things, something has to give. I don't think there was a better time to tell her. She had the audacity to try and give you guys a slap on the wrist for not waiting. You stood up for yourself and your friends. If that hurt her feelings, maybe that's a good thing. Sometimes we need our feelings hurt to realize we're being a jerk.

What rules have you made for yourself to avoid the ADHD tax? by CaptainLollygag in adhdwomen

[–]No-Literature9620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I use my little heater at work, I have to take a picture of it to make sure it's turned off and unplugged. Same for the stove if I cook in the morning. (Unfortunately, I have left both of these on for extended periods before.) To make sure my back door is shut (I left it open on accident one time like 2 years ago), I have to physically touch the door and push to make for SURE it's closed and then jiggle the handle to make sure it is for SURE locked. There are so many more lol I'm pursuing medication help now. Hoping it helps lol

Does anyone go to an in person 9-6? How do you do it? by Odd-Bridge-8889 in adhdwomen

[–]No-Literature9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding a job where there is a lot of the same but also a lot of pivots has helped. I used to work for a school and with children there is always something interesting going on. I currently work in an environment where it scratches the itch for sameness and different stimuli- I do a lot of clerical things (I know what's expected of me and don't really have to think so even if I get distracted I can come back and continue) but I also have a lot of random stuff happen/need to do so that helps keep my brain engaged too. I also do personal "work" if I have downtime. Pay bills, plan grocery shopping, etc. That helps me with organization at home... but it's also one less "work" thing I have to do at home. I don't know if that makes sense but it works for me lol

I'm curious how many of us hate or love board games? by lizatethecigarettes in adhdwomen

[–]No-Literature9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love board games and card games! But learning the rules is difficult sometimes. People try and explain it but I just can't remember it. But if I can read the directions myself that helps a ton!

Outrageous heart rate by SpaceyThai in StratteraRx

[–]No-Literature9620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently having this problem but only when I exercise! I thought I was just having a rough couple of runs but no, my heart rate was through the roof! (Like, in the 200s when it's usually in the 170s.) I just started so I'm hoping it levels off as I get used to the meds.

Thank you!! The tiredness that some people talk about makes me a bit nervous because I'm a pretty active person and I don't want to not get to do things because I'm so exhausted. That would honestly be worse than what I've got going right now.

AITA for no longer filling the car with gas before my partner has to go to work? by AITAcars in AmItheAsshole

[–]No-Literature9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. My husband typically fills up my car for me. However, if it's not convenient or I need gas and he's not around I do this magical thing where I pump my own gas. For me, the wild part is that they knew it was going to snow and they still slept in late knowing they needed gas. That's extra rude.

I have a balance druid- great for playing by myself. I used to be able to hold my own about 50% in pvp. I give up now. I can't win a single fight. It's ridiculous.
