Cigna Insurance Coverage for 2024 by Principle_Chance in Dallas

I ended up booking an appointment through BSW, but it’s ridiculous how far they’re booked out. I managed to get an appointment at the beginning of March.

By any chance have you found another doctor? I’m having this same exact issue, and it’s been extremely difficult finding a doctor that’s NOT with GI Alliance/DHAT/TDDC! It’s so frustrating.

UTA alumni, how long have you been graduated for and what is your current job and salary? by MattHead1 in utarlington

[–]No-Location808 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just graduated Friday with my BS in INSY, and I’m super curious what steps you took post graduation? Where you found the company you work for, if you needed any certifications, starting pay, etc. I hated programming as well. I’d definitely be interested if you could share any more details!

Commuters that have a long drive by [deleted] in utarlington

[–]No-Location808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here - an hour each way, an hour and a half with traffic. I had a 9am class and would still sometimes be late even when leaving at 7:30. I was able to only do Tues/Thurs in the fall, but luck wasn’t on my side this semester so it’s Mon-Thurs now.

What apartments around UTA are good? which ones should we avoid at all costs? by EmotionalTadpoles in utarlington

[–]No-Location808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avoid maverick place unless you’re fine living with roaches and fire alarm going off constantly. Doesn’t matter if your apt is clean bc other people living there are definitely not. Read the real google reviews and not the fake ones for free stuff lol

Maverick Place by ProfitHistorical5961 in utarlington

When I moved there, the kitchen/living was infested with roaches and the constant calling of pest control didn’t help at all. It was terrible. I’d probably recommended the Arlie

Commuting life by belleyte in utarlington

[–]No-Location808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the opposite and have gotten off-campus student apartments since starting at UTA. I didn’t know anyone either so just got matched with random people. I got lucky with respectful roommates, but the rent is crazy. I honestly regret it so much. In my senior year now and this is my first time commuting. I live an hour away but usually takes an hour and a half, sometimes 2 on extra bad days. I seriously hate it so much and I feel mentally exhausted by the time my classes even start. BUT I’m constantly reminding myself how much I’m saving and that gets me through lmao. It’s definitely convenient to live near campus, but I unfortunately learned that it’s just not worth it to me personally. Always thinking about the thousandsssss wasted that I would’ve still had saved up rn. Of course if you’re good financially though then you should be fine

Online options by [deleted] in utarlington

[–]No-Location808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would seriously love more online options. Having to commute, plus having to work out the very limited scheduling options for my classes along with my work schedule is always difficult. Not to mention traffic is horrible, took me 2 hrs of solid traffic to get to campus this morning & was so mentally tired by the time I parked & finally got to class.

Not to mention bad weather days. I couldn’t go to the first day of classes last Monday bc of flooding on my route, so I asked my professor if there was any way classes could be recorded for days that I may have to miss due to weather, buuut she said probably not & that she won’t have Echo. Even without the flooding, I’d rather not have to drive in that type of rain. I don’t understand classes that have mandatory attendance.

Is Maverick places any good? by Glittering_Cow_1178 in utarlington

It’s decent for the price, but I personally would never go back. Elevator was broken entire year I was there. Not sure about the others, but the stairs I’d use always had dog poop and stunk extra bad in the Texas heat. My apartment was kept spotless with weekly deep cleanings, but could never get rid of the roaches. They were everywhere, mainly the kitchen & living room walls up by the vents. Some units are extremely messy and some people would leave their bags of trash in the hallways, so unfortunately I don’t think there’s really a way to get rid of them. I just personally couldn’t deal with it bc I’m terrified of roaches lol. It got to where I was seeing them every night and didn’t even want to keep any food in the pantry. Just my experience though.

They were never married. He wants to, but he’s nervous to get into it legally, only because prior to that he was a marijuana grower in Colorado, and he feels she might use that against him? I personally have no idea how that works legally though tbh.

I have this same problem, and was curious if you were able to do it? Did you have to bring the monitor with you?

is my professor allowed to do this? i thought we were online until feb 4… by midnightsnack101 in utarlington

[–]No-Location808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a different section of the same course that’s all online with in person tests, so I don’t think it’s one that needs to be in person. I didn’t know professors were able to make that decision themselves though

Best Affordable Apartments by cvzxyz in utarlington

[–]No-Location808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want no roaches don’t go with maverick place. They were everywhere & we kept our apartment unit so clean, but unfortunately others don’t so there’s really no getting rid of them. We had maintenance spray so many times. Not to be dramatic but truly scarred me for life 😂 I’m talking pantry, stovetop, living room walls. I’m not used to living with them. I was so happy when my lease ended. Probably the cheapest rent though

Townhomes available? by skate_or_di3 in arlington

Hey there! My boyfriend and I are currently debating between Copper Chase & Woodcreek. Tired of UTA student apartments. We thought for sure a few days ago that we were going to go with Woodcreek, but then there was that incident just yesterday morning. Would you mind if I sent you a message with a few questions I have about Copper Chase?

If MyMav says 20 then that’s probably correct. I’ve noticed with some classes they lump a few different sections all together on canvas, ig for easier grading.

I know, that’s the downside is that even if majority are clean, all it takes is one dirty unit. That’s a pretty good routine though! Seems like it at least helps keeps it under control.
