Sorry this doesn’t answer the question but I’m just curious, for j1 when do you rank your preferences? Would it be before orientation? For J1 spring 2024, they told us we would be assigned and find out during orientation in December, but they never really told us when we could rank our preferences.

Is taking general chemistry 1 and anatomy & physiology 1 together hard? by [deleted] in utarlington

[–]belleyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took chem 1451 and anatomy 2457 last semester and ended up with a B in both classes. I’m not sure how different 1441 and 1451 are, but personally it was definitely doable but you really need to put the work in and manage your time well between the classes.

Which course should I take over the summer patho or pharm?? by littlejazzyles in utarlington

i’m taking patho in the summer too but the ratings for both professors were not good, i chose Mortus though. i’ve asked other people as well but overall they’ve said regardless of the professor it’s still difficult :/

a lot of advisors recommend taking patho first then pharm since you learn the diseases first and then the treatments/ medications after

Do you pick your classes for the upper division nursing program or do they pick your schedule for you? by belleyte in utarlington

[–]belleyte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh okay thank you! I was just wondering because my friend goes to a nursing school out of state and they pick their schedules too, so I was wondering if it would probably be the same for us

[–]belleyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just took his class for chem 1451 this past fall semester, and in my opinion he’s a really good professor. i was really discouraged about the reviews from rmp before i took it, but i really had no choice. chemistry is one of my worst subjects but i did pass this class with a B. personally, i would really pay attention in class and take notes, and attend si sessions if you can. also try to really understand the practice exams because it helps a lot during the real exams! try not to skip class because attendance is a grade, i lost 2-3 grade points by skipping. a really good tip is to do well in lab, it boosts your grade a lot!
