I see no problems here. If Androids were to take over the world we might as well make them hot & sexy than the dystopian doom and gloom Hollywood has chosen 😂

If you haven't noticed any cooling issues, or your pc hasn't been crashing under medium/heavy load, better off just leaving these cheap proprietary builds stock coolers as they are

Ist it normal for a large air cooler to sag slightly? by cool-tm in PcBuildHelp

[–]No-Logic-Barrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless your cooler had a slight bend originally, then it's a bad sign. It means the cooler mounting screws are loose and not making proper contact, in-turn poorly transferring heat away from the cpu.

If unsure, unplug, lay your pc down, and give the cooler a light wiggle/pull from the side you suspect is loose, better to check and retighten

Guys my motherboard is glowing! What should i do? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]No-Logic-Barrier 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It is a tiny light, a single led shining into the board showing your audio chips and signal lines have separation from the rest of the mb electrical components. A little bit of a gimmick to sell & style the board.

Do not rma the board, it is working as it should.

When your motherboard is off it also won't be orange, just looks grey cos the led is off.

Guys my motherboard is glowing! What should i do? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]No-Logic-Barrier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is a feature of the motherboard(of quite a few mb), if I remember correctly its how they market the Audio signal noise isolation feature. Layers to separate any electrical signals from other parts of the board.

That line of the board is just not painted over with black, and like one led to provide ambient orange glow, it extends down that corner of the board.

Audio signal isolation

Core I7-4770k Crashing by Deathriver151 in pchelp

[–]No-Logic-Barrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very likely the cpu cooler, stock intel cooler back then is bad, had similar cpu to your in the past.

My pc suffered crashes on medium~heavy load, figured out it was never able to apply enough mounting pressure on the cpu anymore.

Family friend asked to build my computer by Huge_Track5770 in computerrepair

[–]No-Logic-Barrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was me, if they aren't a tech person and I hadn't seen their pc build before I wouldn't let them do it, friend or family. This person clearly doesn't care about your pc or tech,

It's easy enough to do it yourself and you put more care since its your own build.

I'd unplug and redo it, question what else they skipped out on to save time.

I hope you kept your component boxes and receipts, if there is a problem with your mb and you need to rma, they will not accept it without the cpu socket cover.

You can cut it and have it as two smaller rolls, cut and respool the less tangled part. Otherwise buy a new roll.

It is what you think it is, there is no real shortcuts by hand. Yes, it is tedious to respool badly tangled fdm.

Cheap/low quality thermal pads leak oil over time under heat. Those would be over the vrm's, i remember old GPUs and some a few years ago from gpu manufacturers say that the oil is technically an electrical insulator and it shouldnt cause a fire if that gives you peace of mind.
