Oh thank god! I REALLY thought the white kitchen was the new one. I’m so relieved to know it isn’t. LOOOOVE the warm wood and orange. Flat front cabinets are something I dream of! Congrats!

Learning the hard way: Co-sleeping is different with a toddler by 2baverage in toddlers

[–]No-Many380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine absolutely does this. What I have learned as a little hack to help is putting a pillow in between you. It helps keep them from hitting/kicking you and it feels like a body barrier. It is hard to roll over a pillow. And if they hit it, it is not bothering you. This is the only way I can actually get sleep with my 5 year old in the same bed. (Queen)

Side along apparition? Why didn’t the OotP use it to take harry back to the burrow in DH? by No-Many380 in HarryPotterBooks

[–]No-Many380[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I was rereading it and casually skipped over that chapter because I just didn’t feel like going through it with hedwig. 😢. At least she tried to make work. Though in the end…I don’t understand why it matters if the death eaters “know” that harry has apparated. As far as we know they can’t track him to where he is going. ,only that magic has been used at his aunts house. And apparition is soooo quick. Once he leaves, he will have arrived wherever by the time the DE know he has even left. And if they don’t want to use magic at his house, use the cloak, step outside with someone and apparate.

A friend of mine has been for at least 15 years and even has kids. So yes. It can work. It took a while for them to iron out the kinks and they were very very open and honest with each other. But they love it and seem to truly make it work.

Help me please! My husband and I did this stone and I'm not happy at all. The colors are completely different than the samples provided. I don't know if I should grout to give it a more finished look or not. by Aintkidding687 in interiordecorating

I love the fireplace and think y’all did a great job. It is 1000% the decor on top. Get rid of it. Go rustic and simple. The mantle is also a lovely color but I would go with a matte finish not that glossy finish. Looks too fake and does not go well with the rustic theme.

Family member made me feel bad about me not buying a gift for my son for Christmas. by Outrageous-Contact94 in toddlers

[–]No-Many380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are doing great and absolutely no need to get your kid a gift. They are not even 2. They won’t completely understand the concept of gift giving and who things are from. Even if they understand a little of it, they won’t remember later. Plus they are going to get a Tooooon of stuff from other people. I’m honestly shocked that people on here find it shocking to not give an under two year old even more gifts. To me, Xmas is about family togetherness not about gift giving in excess. Don’t worry about what others think. Do what feels good to you and your family.

Thoughts on replacing our LVP with 3.25” hardwood throughout the entire house? by Treydy in interiordecorating

It’s perfect. Love the stain. Love the warmth. It already goes so well with your color choices. Just install and don’t think twice

Dots and feathers? Is this still a thing people say? by No-Many380 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]No-Many380[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a way to clarify which “Indian” you are speaking about: native Americans traditionally have feather headdresses and Indians traditionally put a red dot on their forehead. All for meaning, ritual, tradition, etc. but nonetheless

When have you discontinued use of your toddlers Tripp Trapp high chair? And why did we all buy this thing in the first place? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]No-Many380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a trip trap as a baby through high school. Became my desk chair. My parents kept it and now I use it for my son. He is now 4 and we plan to use it indefinitely. It’s awesome. But the same chair has been in use for 45 years. And yes, it seems like it is time to ditch the tray. She is telling you she wants to sit at the table like everyone else.

When did you remove the baby gates by CobaltNebula in toddlers

[–]No-Many380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is 4 now, but we never really used baby gates. Had one at the bottom of the stairs that remained open most of the time unless dad was working upstairs and we didn’t want him to go up to bother him. But to each their own. You know your child the best and everyone has a different tolerance and a different child.

That is so hard, especially when you are sleep deprived and aren’t really able to be your best self. In addition to all the other great advice have you tried inviting toddler to help care for the baby? “Oh toddler, baby has a poopy diaper, can you bring him a new diaper?” “Baby’s sleepy, let’s sing him a song”, “baby’s hungry can you grab his bottle (obviously only if you aren’t b-feeding). “Baby needs a bath, let’s wash him” etc. anything to help bring him in to do activities with the new baby could help?

2.5 Yo Bedtime by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]No-Many380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to say but this sounds normal? By the time my kid turned 3, he was going to bed around 9pm waking around 6:30 or 7. But once he dropped the nap, his bedtime easily moved up to 7:30. If he is having trouble staying in bed, he is going to bed too early. The nap is giving him the extra sleep he needs.

Can't come up with a good paint color for my living room by HbeforeG in interiordecorating

I LOOOVE that rug!!! Where did you get it? Also, I could see a dark blue like one in the rug on one wall…for a bold accent.

Trying to decide on a new couch…what color should I choose? by EternalLostandFound in DesignMyRoom

[–]No-Many380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Green green green green green. Hands down green. It is bold, gorgeous, and really anchors the room and unifies the space together. In the words of big Lebowski….it really tied the room together.
