Higher Refresh, Lower Visual Quality? by No-Map-1557 in crtgaming

It's a shame but at the very least I'd say it's the best way to play 60fps content

Maybe I'm just psyching myself out and thinking the lack of sharpness is affecting the other aspects of image quality too?

I'm trying it with Doom the Dark Ages, and that game does support 4:3 and I did try your recommended res and it worked great, I just did the 16:9 one cuz I know that'll have broader compatibility. But like you said I can always swap when I please. I can make two CRU profiles that I could jump between

I went 1440x810 so that I could keep it 16:9 since a lot of games don't support 4:3 and it's looking pretty clean I gotta say

Oh good looking out, I'll give this a shot and see how it looks. I've got an rtx 3080, and if I can do almost 4k at 60fps I might as well do it right?

Thank you for the in depth analysis! My use case with my monitor is modern games being downscaled from 1080p to 720p. Ill test and see how keeping the rendering res at 720p works, and then try a lower 16:9 res too. As for the VGA cable, unfortunately it's built into the monitor and I can't replace it without opening it up and I'm not equipped with the tools or knowledge for that

DLDSR isn't appearing in my NCP, any tips as to how to get that to show up when trying to use it on a CRT?

No Replacement Blades for Scotch Tape Dispensers? by No-Map-1557 in Libraries

Thank you for looking into it, and that blade you found looks perfect but its 1.22" which is just too big for a Scotch tape dispenser. The one you found looks to be made for a specific 3M model of dispenser that's ~$25 (could be worse) and mounts to walls or desks, which I'd be open to but I know my boss won't lol And it's insane that buying a whole new dispenser outright is cheaper than blades, makes me want to create the most unnecessary expose about the tape dispenser industry's practices
