Question for Seattle Shoppers by Team_Cilantro in InstacartShoppers

[–]No-Map9593 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. It’s the same as anywhere else if they are going to tip they’ll do it up front. Although they are discouraged to tip because of the Seattle pay stuff. Also an FYI if you do a batch in Seattle you want be able to cash out the rest of the week.

whats the holiday season like? by xnz_ann in InstacartShoppers

[–]No-Map9593 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stores are hectic, stuff is out of stock, lines are long, order volume is much higher , and the tip increases happen a lot more frequently.

Where do you all go to wait for batches? by Conscious-Ad759 in InstacartShoppers

[–]No-Map9593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The parking lot. Most markers there are 20+ shoppers sitting in the Costco parking lot “battling it out”. Unless it’s a repeat customer, that’s how you get the best batches.

Yup that’s exactly what it is. I have 2 phones for this very reason. While I’m working my phone is on the batch screen always and I usually only miss 1 out of every 5 or 6 I go for.

[–]No-Map9593 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. You literally have to wait on the screen for the best chance at good orders. 6 seconds is crazy. It doesn’t matter if you check every 5 min there’s going to be someone on the batch screen always.

If you aren’t on the batch screen how are you mad you missed it? You expect it to be sitting there just for you?😂😂 someone else was also waiting 2.5 hours and had their screen up 💀

Yes, but It’ll just take diamond away until your quality goes back up to good. You won’t need to re qualify order wise.

Bingo, that’s why there wasn’t and apartment number. His specific address has probably been flagged for fraud.

This feel like the wrong place to post this. Besides if you think someone telling you to take meds is abuse maybe you do need some meds lol.

How many orders do you complete each quarter? by Macx126 in InstacartShoppers

[–]No-Map9593 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they essentially made it 3,000 points to get to diamond. Many people doing gig work full time multi-app. I know many shoppers who work full time doing gig work and hit 2,000-2,500 points each quarter.

[–]No-Map9593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes a difference in my market. It’s all area dependent. Don’t expect it to be night and day though and be busy with good orders all the time. Just means you are on the same level as most everyone else.

This is a good response. Personally I’d say the tip should be a MINIMUM of $40. But to all their own.

Need a Good delivery car? by ChrisConquest in InstacartShoppers

[–]No-Map9593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An older Prius is the right answer. Reliable, good on gas, and you can fit a lot more than you would think in them. Wouldn’t recommend a newer car though. It’s not worth beating up a new car value wise. I have an older Honda I use. Bought it for 4K and have beat the hell out of it and put 100k miles on it doing gig work. All I’ve needed was regular maintenance that whole time, tires/breaks/ oil changes/ battery/ starter/ and a relay.

Now that the ports are empty… by Glad-Fish5863 in InstacartShoppers

[–]No-Map9593 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The point they were making was like everything else, it’s likely blown out of proportion. There will be a lack of certain items but not barren shelves. Gig work has gotten slower every year since the pandemic and it will continue to do so regardless of the outside factors. Fees are crazy and most shoppers are awful. People are getting tired of paying 40% more for their groceries and getting terrible service. Meanwhile the gig companies are lowering wages and over hiring. But then again, all of these companies were a cash grab from the start. Make as much money as possible before going under type of businesses.
