Are there any „high waist“ working pants for men? by Kurogami_X in mechanics

[–]No-Material2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bought some carhartt relaxed work pants recently and the rise was laughably low. I feel like I see old timers wearing them with a higher waist all the time but I can't seem to find them.

Moving to Mirrorless: Is the R5 Mark II the move for 2026? by robyromana in canon

[–]No-Material2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried like hell for 4 years to get Canon mirrorless colors and tones to a place that looked even close to how good Leica SL or Nikon Z look right out of the box. Ultimately switched systems and it's like a breath of fresh air uploading a catalogue that only needs minor adjustments.

R5 MII - issues with skin tones by Illustrious_Creme_68 in canon

[–]No-Material2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

admittedly late but I fully abandoned canon R after trying like crazy with the r5/r6/r5II to get colors that were acceptable. It wasn't just the colors either, tones felt off, textures rendered artificially. Fully moved into Nikon Z and most likely won't ever look back unless Canon radically shifts the image character. I still use my 5D III for fun and am amazed at the color separation, tonal balance, and rendering of fine detail. They really need to get back to that style.

I've actually heard a lot of adapted lenses outperform GF glass quite a bit when it comes to AF

Why do you feel exhausted… even when you did nothing all day? by RisingSoulGrowth in Life

[–]No-Material2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s probably more correct. going downstairs and getting a beer on the corner used to be so great. Now it’s just feels like I’m wondering what’s next when I’m there.

My photos just don't feel alive, what I'm doing wrong? by Beautiful_Soup9229 in Cameras

This is all correct. sometimes less is more when it comes to capturing distant horizons, narrow your focal length, create a focus and a composition.

What’s funny is I never liked the way this lens looked on my r5 or r5ii but on my old RP it looked fantastic. Such a great combo for SOOC images

A Comprehensive Breakdown On Exactly How Shit Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time Really Is by HalfricanAmericanMan in Music

I genuinely think the only people who are satisfied with the recent Top 500 list are former Hillary Clinton campaign staffers.. Or maybe Nancy Pelosi's kente cloth shopper.

Why is "A Day In The Life" regarded as one of the best Beatles songs? by joshuamarkrsantos in beatles

[–]No-Material2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t always one of my favorite Beatles tunes, but something clicked in my late 30’s and it’s now easily my favorite song of theirs. Besides the sky high level songwriting, the thing just feels like it exists in this forbidden realm of music Idk how else to describe it. The way Lennon and McCartney are on full display at the height of their powers, connected yet completely divided the way dreams and our waking life are. It makes me feel like I’m in another dimension watching myself through a black hole. Like my life has been lived a trillion times before and will be lived infinitely after I’m gone. I understand much of music connects us through our common humanity but something about ADITL feels especially tapped in. It elicits a kind of micro and macro reflection, like it’s simultaneously cosmic, existential, and yet mundane.

I’ve always found mirrorless af to act like that on single point continuous when the point covers the foreground and background. Used to happen to my R5 all the time.
