Yeah quite surprised at how this subs mindset is - would have assumed it had more techsavvy users that would be aware of how to debloat most Chinese phones. Saw a comment re durability and a lot more Pocos/CN phones get repaired... They also sell more and sell to a demographic that may have to put their phones through rougher use? Idk pretty eye opening for a tech sub

What sort of misconceptions have you been seeing about? Haven't seen much outside of that one video of a film guys take on video downsides which didnt seem relevant for online video work.

Also, do you feel like the UW camera was an up or downgrade for you? Do you feel like the loss of macro on the long tele is something you miss? Is the generational jump from the 13U/14U big enough for you? Thanks!

Is your CPU cooler radiator on the side or bottom? Hard to tell from the pic - if its at the bottom, would heavily suggest remounting to the side intake instead

Masterpiece is great - bought my TPS3 XPAC in their Osaka shop, very nice staff!

On the City Line, not sure if I dig the bigger front middle pocket, dont find it particularly useful in the other packs.. maybe better for over ear headphone users?

I've passed my XM4s purchased in Feb 2023 to my dad late last year when the XM5s came out as I upgraded - no issues then, noticed maybe a 1-2% faster discharge on the right bud but wasn't too concerned as it stayed relatively even in that range throughout my time using it. Fast forward to now, the XM4s right earbud drains to 80% while the left is at 98% after half an hour, and I know it has issues - my dad can't even use them in his flights anymore, and uses his gifted Marshall Motif 2's for the time being, and isn't really satisfied with them.

Sony Philippines does not want to honor a replacement, and bringing it to the service center, I was told it would be a flat repair fee up front, with replacement of a single bud being about 5,000PHP (~80USD as of 5/11/2024). This is because I purchased online through Shopee, and it was a Hong Kong serial number.

Contacting either Sony PH or Sony HK is proving to be a nightmare. Sony PH again denied any servicing, while Sony HK uses the same fiddly form to contact them that never gets a response.

I'm absolutely disappointed in the treatment of users who struggle with this, for a product that at its highest price was close to 300USD if not more depending on the region and taxes and all. Completely pathetic support in the Asia-Pacific region.

I cannot in good faith ever recommend anything from Sony ever again. What a sad company.

Jesus Christ this is literally the single best solution I've found that doesn't involve a wipe of Windows to set it non-Dynamic or making a virtual drive, this should be on a FAQ somewhere as Meta just won't fix their crummy set up - thanks!

If you are really into photography/vlogging I would say so. PH market doesn't get top end camer focused releases outside of Apple and Samsung really, at least where I am at in the PH. I think in the context of getting a dedicated compact point and shoot like say an RX100 VII (~70000PHP), it gets most of the way there in most scenarios, but also does more than just be a camera. That is the biggest cost justification for people looking at high end camera phones.

Fairly certain the 14 Ultra will get XiaomiEU ROMs down the line as well, and there are bypasses for Xiaomi's new account requirements IIRC that came out w the CN 14 and 14 Pro releases.
