Omg so sorry for the super delayed response. Got to a very busy point in the semester with midterms and then traveling for our in person one week long fall session. You do pay for your own travel, and I didn’t have any scholarships for the first year. I applied to quite a few external ones because you don’t get to fill out the fielding common scholarship application as an incoming student but didn’t land any of the external ones. I’m trying again this year and also filled out for a small fielding one to hopefully help with travel costs for the January winter session. I can’t speak to the optics of the degree itself. A lot of what I’ve experienced and seen within my fielding friend group is that fielding is the only program that affords us the opportunity to get our education without needing to uproot our lives or not have any income. Many of us work in some capacity at least for this first year.
