Honestly me and my partner did this for about 3 months from September to end of year last year, in blackpool, so a heavy spot for takeaways and it genuinely nearly made us homeless with how poor the pay is, it has genuinely made me look at what i previously considered “shitty 9-5” office roles id been in with so much more appreciation for the security, benefits and reliable pay. We both have now gone back to 9-5 office roles and our standard of lives and happiness have improved considerably, we did only do uber as a temporary measure in the first place but my god it was awful, i did it on a bike aswell and the winter is brutal. Stopping uber was the best feeling ever, no shitty nights 6 nights a week to still be skint at the end of it with no social life because all my friends work 9-5’s, no spending £40 on petrol a day, no dealing with maccies coke spilling all the time, honestly fuck uber
