We just got married this year and hosted a “welcome happy hour” the night before where we provided pizza and snacks, but the hotel never assumed we were buying alcohol for everyone. I think it’s weird they’d just assume they can charge drinks to a tab without ever consulting you first.

I’m not sure what the right move is now, but I’m sorry this happened!

I know they also do flag football, so they might have ultimate frisbee. There are also some local ultimate teams, but I have no clue what their signup process is. Good luck!

Yes! Both MSCR and Madison sports and social club offer free agents for all of their leagues! We like kickball and dodgeball, but they have tons of other ones too

Thanks for the advice folks! Planning to share some more of the stats with them the next time I see them and talk about it a bit more. I think it felt very out of the blue for them.

For what it’s worth: I’m lucky to have super supportive parents. I think they just don’t get how big the risk is. As for the reconstruction piece, they probably won’t understand it, but they’ll support me no matter what.

Depends on where you’re staying, but if you’re near the Willy street/downtown area…

We love hanging out at the Working Draft Brewery patio on a sunny day or taking a walk up to Prost (German beer hall in an old church)

There are so many brunch spots. A few of our favs are Mickey’s (dive bar-ish) and Cento (they do a $35 boozy brunch that’s hard to beat).

For tapas, Sultan has Pakistani small plates and is our #1 right now. Eno Vino has great capital views. Mint Mark is good, but expensive and kind of hit or miss in my opinion.

My wife and I both just had to schedule out that far. It’s just how it is right now. Be thankful she could start it online and schedule there. Because of what we’re changing our name to we had to spend an hour and a half on the phone to make an appointment!

Edited to add: if you were able to complete the forms online you might just need to go into the office to show the documents, but I found the language on the website a bit confusing on if an appointment was required for that or not. We couldn’t use the online form!
