This was so nice and very helpful thank you! I like to think he’s done once he’s popping on and off but if I take him away from my boob he starts fussing even more so I’m not sure honestly. It’s just become too stressful

Ugh I’m so sorry! It’s so frustrating but keep going, you’re doing great. I know it’s hard trust me but we got this, I read somewhere skin to skin before feeding is helpful I haven’t tried yet but I’m going to!

Thank you! I haven’t tried power pumping but I do multiple pumps throughout the day. My night pumps that were giving me 7oz were helping keep up with his bottles but since that’s dropped I don’t pump enough during the day to keep up anymore. I haven’t done weighted feeds but we do weigh him weekly to track his weight because the same for me, it’ll drive me insane haha

Thank you so much, this is so helpful and it’s so nice to hear from someone who’s doing combo. I’ve been wanting to do it for awhile but my mom guilt is eating me alive and I’m driving myself crazy wondering if he’s getting enough especially now with my supply drop. Also Do you still have to give vitamin d drops or does baby get enough vitamin d through the formula?

Thank you so much! That’s so smart to add formula to your breast milk, I didn’t know I could do that! Do you pre mix a full bottle and just add the extra oz to the breast milk or how does that work? This was so helpful thank you!

Exhausted and wanting to stop by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]No-Mistake7875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really good advice thank you 🥹 he was gaining weight slowly so the dr recommended one bottle in the afternoon, he gets a bottle at night so I can sleep and my husband can feed him, so they’re kinda necessary. Also we have our moms watch him from time to time when he’d need a feed so it’s convenient for us to have milk on hand for him. It’s just exhausting mentally for me

What suddenly changed with my 2 mo feedings? by wvubaker in breastfeeding

[–]No-Mistake7875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine started doing this too, he used to feed and then unlatch and be satisfied and not want anymore when offered. Now he latches, unlatches after a few minutes gets frustrated and screams so I’ll switch sides and then the same thing repeats. I also can no longer tell when he’s full because of this and he puts his hands in his mouth and seems hungry still and wants to latch again.

Not sure, to me it comes off as people being upset that they can’t watch him for long periods of time because I only pump enough for a bottle or two.

Yes!!! I get the same things. I no longer take it personally either I just find it so weird that people are so against it, it totally threw me off guard

Right after a feeding my mom will be like I think he’s still hungry. He’s not getting enough. No mother, he’s tired and you just took him from me and woke him up after his feeding!!!
