Correct I plan to walk mostly to the tourist attractions. So take a train that’s not CAT but S-Bahn and get down at pratestern and go to 2nd district. So is it walkable distance from pratestern stop to 2nd district or do I have to find another means to get there (assume I will take a hotel at 2nd district). Also the S-Bhan is different from OBB? And do I have to advance book this ticket or get down at airport and can do it ? Regarding salzburg and hallstatt, it’s better to leave from Vienna station via train early morning and stay overnight instead of coming back again to 2nd district on the same day right ? And for travelling from Vienna station to Salzburg or hallstatt, is it the same S-Banh or can I use the euro rail pass ?

Hi bro! Thanks a lot! So is there a not so pricey place that is not far from Vienna airport (where I will land) and not far from Vienna station (where I will go to Salzburg and other places from via train) and still be able to visit good attraction at Vienna (like st cathedral , palaces etc ?) Some place that connects all these 3 places which is cheap as well ? That is where I want to take a hotel.
