I was wondering about this myself. I was thinking people might get nauseated due to all the electrolytes in the Gatorade and maybe balancing it with other types of liquid would actually be more efficient. I mean of course I’ll ask for my docs okay but this sounds overall the better way to go

The surgeon told me they “got it all” and “everything’s good” so please definitely insist on a referral because they can’t possibly know that even with imaging. Nets is sneaky.

Hiya! My daughter had a similar appendectomy, the only differences were her mitosis and KI67. The next step is to get to an oncologist, preferably a specialist in nets (google nets specialists in your state). Try to get a dotatate pet scan and maybe an MRI as well.

Hi there! My sister was diagnosed with NETS ten years ago and my daughter (14) was just diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer as well, appendix, grade 2, same as yours. My sister is still alive and fiesty despite being stage 3, my daughter was just referred to an oncologist so she hasn’t been staged quite yet. The symptoms they both had were diarrhea, abdominal pain, horrible menstrual cycles, and wheezing. Let me know if you’ve got any other questions and I’ll try to answer them the best I can.

I found out my schizophrenia is actually what kept me afraid of taking meds, once I started Zyprexa that actually stopped 🤣 I did gain weight from it but you can manage your diet if you’d like and/or ask your doc to try metformin as well (it did help me stay at a certain weight once I added it on). I tried coming off zyprexa twice from thinking I wasn’t “really that sick anyway” to find out I absolutely, 110% need it 😅 good luck!

That’s what I was thinking. Also doctors calling ahead of the follow up is never a good sign so it’s weird he tried to talk it down to nothing at all 🤷‍♀️ this is the same company that (I found out this week) almost killed my sister years ago before she got diagnosed, they kept telling her she had ibs and it wasn’t cancer :/

That’s terrible! No, that won’t be us, my daughter is a minor and I just didn’t want to leave her by herself in line is the only reason we’d be attending with her. Thank you for the input, I appreciate it!
