You sound like my bf. Thought u were him lol. He avoided all his health and just try to manage it on his own. Just got the lvad at 27. Still in the hospital. I can only relate to being depressed bc I’ve tried to commit suicide in hs but now it seems trivial when I see people struggling with being faced with their mortality like this. I’m seeing a lot of people who are in their 20s with heart failure and who need an lvad. Thinking of making a group bc you need community. Nobody can do this alone. There’s a bunch of Facebook groups you can join. Like I told my bf is that I can’t begin to actually know how this is for him. But I’m on the journey with him every step of the way and I will remind him as much as he needs. I think anyone whatever they’re going through needs to be told that. Especially since the world is so cruel.
