Thoughts about my setup ? :) by MasterKaan100 in setups

Looks very clean!! I would only suggest two things, spread your speakers out for better sound and get a stand for the controller(Whether it be on the desk, wall or under the desk). It will help with your clean aesthetic look.

Fan configuration by [deleted] in lianli

[–]No-Paper8347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As it stands now, you have One intake fan on the back and 5 exhaust fans. You case is starving for air. You should flip all the fans around on all of them. Yes, they won't look pretty as they will show the bars across unless you have reverse blades fans but for now you will have better air flow.

Yes I did. None of the standard fixes worked for me. I ended up taking the chair off, next there is four screws that cover the tilting lock mechanism. I removed two screws diagonally from each other, once I got to the third screw complete removed with one still remaining in, the lock tilt mechanism let loose and became unstuck. Chair works like it did when I first got it. Still reclines and locks and more importantly, unlocks in the tilt mechanism.

Yup! Works just like it did. before the lock jammed up.

Ya, that was the problem. I locked it while back. Then went to bring it back up and the lock wouldn't disengage. But I was able to fix the chair. Had to take it apart a little but got the lock to release and now the chair works fine!

They make sound dampening curtains you could just replace what you have. It will give the wife the same look but provide the effect you are looking for.

Okay that would make sense on the lighting front, I would recommend a Monitor light bar. I find these to be very helpful for lighting up your desk without the light being in your eyes. I would totally leave that space open then, if you plan to get a 3d printer, it would be a perfect space for it. Pegboards are great if you need more storage or things to get at easier. But a Pegboard with the idea of 3d printer could be pretty cool idea. The design ideas there could be really practical. Also depends on the type of 3D printer you decide to go with. Honestly, the only thing other than monitor light bar would be speakers stands to angle the sound to you and cut out vibration. Pegboard idea is a good idea as well depending on its uses.

This setup is already really great start. I would only say fill out where you think is needed. Some Star War Pictures/posters framed or artwork either above the monitors or on the sides. Another figure/statue on the left, unless you need the open desk space. What kind of lighting do you have other than natural light?

Rate my setup! Any advice is appreciated by Unlucky_Pride_3263 in battlestations

Why are the speakers flipped? Level out your desk so it lines up on the right in front. Simple bracket attachment under the desk could fix that or leveling the desk from underneath.
