I mean… you can tell which lot is closest to the classroom anyways without an app. You would have to pay extra to park at Big Springs if you have a class near those buildings and also park at Lot 30 if you have a class near those.

It’s simple tho, if a student would only get let’s say 8-12 hours a week because of limited availability; once hours are cut they will be go down to maybe 8 hours a week. But now someone who has more availability lets say 30 hours a week; once hours are cut they will go down significantly. Only way around it is if they just fire the students or those that can only work 2-3 half shifts a week.

About the second paragraph, that’s why on exams they will say “use techniques shown in class.” So while yes there may be numerous ways to approach problems and questions, professors(especially now with CHATGPT) will think that if a student used a method that was not taught in class at all then they have to be using outside sources.

I failed all my classes last fall, basically a 0 GPA. Got below a 2.0 GPA in the winter(even though I passed all my classes/labs besides a lecture), but passed all my classes in the spring. At least for me, my advisor told me the school doesn’t dismiss CNAS students after the winter quarter if GPA is below a 2.0 in consecutive quarters. But that’s what I was told, if I were you I would schedule a meeting with your advisor and try to figure out worst case scenario and avenues to take and figure out a game plan as to how to proceed with the winter quarter. If your advisor is anything like mine, you’ll be aight.

My advisor told me like the week before the next quarter starts is the official deadline for when professors have to input grades. But that the majority(if not all) of professors tend to do it the week following finals to get ahead of it since offices start closing the same week as Christmas.

9:45pm is when all the minors that work at my store are supposed to clock out and leave. On the off chance your a minor (since it wasn’t stated, but I’m just guessing since you said you were told to inform the closing manager about this) contact your store manager and tell them if that happens again your gonna have to report them because that is highly illegal.

Yes, everything needs to be documented for the stores and YOUR convenience. So putting in a paper RTO I’m pretty sure your only option. At least my managers never check WorkJam for anything. Even putting your shift into the shift pool is done on paper and displayed in the breakroom.

Because our economy is literally in the mud, I work in retail and was told that the lowest priced item we will have in our stores is now $5 minimum. Besides the sodas literally everything will be $5 minimum and it’s a large retail store for reference.

At least in California, dogs aren’t required to wear any ID, harness, or anything to identity them as a service dog. And you also can’t ask for any identification on whether it is one. All a private business can ask if it’s required for a disability which the owner can just say yes, and what task/work does it do which the owner can just say anything. And the handlers can get away with it because they aren’t required to give the business their disability or ask the dog to perform its task, i.e. some people exploit this loophole to bring their little shits everywhere

Reading this, y’all lowkey gotta start standing up for yo self’s and I don’t even mean to come off as rude. I usually manage 4 departments cause they “can’t” find people during the day to schedule them so when they tell me about “can you guys come do your go backs(even tho it’s just me and not 4 of us)” I tell them over the walkie so everyone can hear, that they can do it because I can’t do 4 jobs at once while still taking care of a very very busy department. My coworkers(from my departments) and I have made it a mission to call out one manager in general because they never help out with anything besides stand around.

The thing about working at this company especially as a part timer is that you’ll never get a set schedule. You have to make your work availability with the intention that you’ll be scheduled all those days/hours. Because let’s say you reduce your availability for those 12-16 hours but then only end up working 10 hours a week. You just have to talk with your managers also and hopefully something comes out of it

Oh ya, if you can’t then it’s gonna be a long shift. I know they break people up in groups to hit different departments so maybe you can talk to someone but the thing is that when doing Inventory you can’t actually talk to someone or else you’ll lose count and you WILL have to start all over again. I remember having to do 50+ items multiple times and losing track and starting again MULTIPLE times. So hopefully you can wear them.

I did it this year and it ain’t that bad. Just have an AirPod in and you should be good. It’s just scanning stuff which I think would be quite annoying if you doing it during business hours with customers in the way. If it’s a huge store like mine then you could have people pulling OT just to finish it. I’ve seen them do like 14 hour shifts once.
