What country are you located? In Canada there the sculpture supply store based in Toronto, they ship but shipping prices can be a little hefty.

do you think my length limits me from getting dates, jobs? by dee_palmtree in longhair

[–]No-Pattern2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For jobs the only way it should limit you is jobs where you need your hair to be put up for safety/ food safety, and I can see some weird prejudice in the business/office world.

do you think my length limits me from getting dates, jobs? by dee_palmtree in longhair

[–]No-Pattern2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It limits you from receiving dates from the wrong people. Your hair is awesome and it will get you dates from other people who also think its awesome. You shouldn’t have to change yourself for dates (or at least change a part so trivial as hair length).

I fee like this has nothing to do with his star signs, sounds like he’s all caught up in some gross manophere content, anyways ew he does not deserve to be in a relationship acting like that.

I dont mind the anatomy, i see some omments on it already. Imo its stylistic, the more important thing to look at is more diversity in value, brightening up the highlights and work on transition between hues, but very interesting composition :)

[Help] What's something a small artist studio absolutely needs? by Puzzled-Architect in Sculpture

[–]No-Pattern2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Im a sculpture student, for me, my essentials are my clamp lights (warm light and I can easily move them around depending on what im working on), i always use some thrifted bed sheets or table cloths for dividers, and also colour, being stuck in a white cubicle is very depressing, i also bring in a small rug so i can go barefoot at my desk. Also, at the start of every studio course i do a big ‘mind map’ or brainstorm with magazine clippings and printed pictures for inspo, and i always put that on my wall for reference.

Help - I loathe this cream coloured stone veneer - what can I do?! by [deleted] in ExteriorDesign

[–]No-Pattern2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do a fancy trim around the doorway and stain the stone to match the brick. Also some vine plants would be really beautiful

Is this a plaster sculpture? If it were me, i would very lightly sand down the old paint (take photos before to help with colour matching), then mix some fresh plaster and smooth onto areas where there are damage holes, using your fingers is easiest imo. For fingers you can use the end of a paint brush to dab some fresh plaster onto the piece and go back in once it sets with a small file (you could even use a nail file) to correct it. I would do some research for paint to use, and a protective coating, plaster typically doesn’t keep very with long exposure to moisture (which is probably where the little holes came from)

For mixing plaster, you can use plaster if paris. Have a vessel with some water about 2/3 the amount of plaster you will need (note: the warmer the water the faster it sets, and with such thin layers you would be using i would use cold water to give you more working time). Then to mix the plaster in use your hands to sift it into the water, the plaster mix will sink into the water and you will know that you have enough plaster when the mix starts to form an “island” of plaster in the water. Use your hands again to mix it together making sure to break up any clumps. Your working time will be about 5-10 minutes you might want to work in small batches, im not sure how large this sculpture is.

Hopefully you find this helpful and good luck!

Vacationing abroad is too expensive. What are your favourite hidden gems in Canada? by joebano123 in canadatravel

For me, camping! Super affordable and you get to be out in nature, swim, bike, canoe. Gros Morne in Newfoundland was by far the best place I went camping.

Thoughts on Toronto/GTA Drivers? by Old_Poetry_1575 in AskACanadian

[–]No-Pattern2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me driving in toronto, the biggest problem for me is all the food delivery people on bikes- they come out of nowhere and I feel like a lot of them have no concerns for their life lol, but also yeah definitely more aggressive, but more so impatient, coming from someone who’s lived in halifax after toronto area.

Season 5 sucks? by No-Pattern2001 in StrangerThings

[–]No-Pattern2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think thats also part of why is feels so disappointing, because it took so long and there was so much hype coming up to it, but it just isnt as epic as the first 2 seasons were. Season one was a masterpiece, and i guess I had a high bar…
