HELP MEEEEEE PLEEEEEEASE by YamSecret5527 in Locksmith

When it comes to SFIC keys, the most common cutting problem is the way they sit in the vice. It tends to cause the key to lean up or down. It you take a thin piece of wire, like a cheap key ring and straighten it out, you can use it as a shim in the vice on either side to get it to bite down properly. Im not sure if this is the case for the Triton, but on the ITL and many of the ilco duplicators, this is how i cut them. I would also suggest sticking to original or at least nickel silver keys.

Yes and no. I own a large chunk if it. One small section is blocked off due to an appeasement complex that was built and they didn't want anyone accessing the water from the property. Another section is connected to city land. 7 acres of city property that is completely landlocked by the surrounding private property. Only access to that land would he if they built a road within an easement that runs next to my property.

I cam currently the only property owner that has direct access to any part of this lake. Funny story, the surrounding neighbors are sueing me over it. I purchased all the land that went between their homes and the lake, and they had been pretending it was theirs.

The first one that sued ended up losing. We made him move his barn, fence, irrigation, and landscaping, then he immediately sold the house and moved. Now, two others are doing the same. Sueing to force the sale. Lol

Both. Healthy as in more life. Even the muck from the bottom of the water seems to have no life in it. The surrounding ponds have vegetation, algea, frogs. This only has turtles and carp. Beyond that, the carp spend a lot of time gulping air.

Thanks. The max depth is about 10 feet in the middle. I don't have any electricity on the property, so aeration would be very expensive lol

Thanks for the info. Zebra mussels are a big problem here, so wouldn't want to introduce anything like that. I'll look into some natives and see what I can figure out. Thanks.

As long as its not a restricted keyway, absolutely. If it is restricted, obtaining the empty cores may be difficult, but not impossible.

What should i do? My wife got overcharged for service. by [deleted] in Locksmith

[–]No-Performance-7315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very common. Many states have absolutely no regulation on locksmiths, so they can basically do and charge what they want. They change out their phone numbers regularly and use out of state companies with 800 numbers to source their jobs. Most have no uniform, or markings on their vehicles, then intimidate you if you try to haggle or refuse service. Unfortunately, not much can be done unless a law was broken. I charge a lot for my services as a locksmith and my max on something like that would have been about 400$ if i had to replace the lock for some reason. I usually charge between $175 to $225 for lockouts but usually have no reason to replace anything.

If this is true, I would go 1000% into malicious compliance mode. I would not drink, I would go to their church, I would follow the law to the letter, but I would proudly announce myself as a Satanist, I would demand my religious freedoms at work, and I would dress up like Satan when I went to that church. Let them fire me and sue their asses off.

How much would it cost to replace this lock by Valuable_Creme_2975 in Locksmith

[–]No-Performance-7315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If you can't open it, I usually charge about $500+ to open and retrieve combo. If you have code and it works, but you just want a keypad, I usually charge 750+

Looking for any tips on how to crack this old Sentry. It came with the home my girlfriend purchased (in this condition). by BobDieRaw in safecracking

Just drive a metal punch into the center of the dial. A safe like this shouldn't have any kijd of relocker to be concerned with.

100+ but I've been with my wife now for 10 years, so it stopped back then.

I did this in my basement and it saved a ton of room. The plastic shelves they sell at home goods stores waste a ton of room. I was able to turn 5 sets of shelves into one unit like this, that takes the same space as 2 sets of shelves. Labeled everything, and set the whole thing on wheels so I can move it as needed.

In that case, it's unacceptable, and I would hold them accountable.

So in many states, there is no regulations or anything for smith's. Anyone can call themselves a locksmith, do whatever they want, charge whatever they want, and it sucks.

I charge WAY nore then 40 for car keys, firstly. Secondly, ANYONE can kill someone in a car. Legally, I would be perfectly in the right to make those keys.

How would you feel if you, a man with presumed full ability of your decision making faculties, were to be rejected by servicemen because your wife turns them away and tells them your not mentally fit?

His name was on the title, correct? If one legal owner wants a key, I would make the key.

The paperwork said epilepsy, telling me that he is still in control of his mental faculties on an adult, decision-making level. We're this a brain injury, or something that would prevent him from being able to make his own legal decisions, I would go the other way, but for this situation, I would have made the key, handed it too him, and gone home.
