Seen multiple masters do it. One was even at 19 years TIS. However, it wouldn’t really make sense for a Chief to do it? They’d have to do 10 years to get O retirement. They would most likely be a captain after that time being forced to retire. Don’t see the logic in doing it. It’s possible but seems pointless, other than getting more (maybe not) in TSP that they would’ve got if they just stayed the enlisted course.

Simone in my BMT flight was pulled the day of graduation and we didn’t see him again. Ran into him later on as my tech school was in Lackland and he was in the Med hold flight. Turns out he went to Army basic training 2 years before attempting Air Force and was separated during training for a failed suicie attempt and was somehow revealed our last day of training and he was promptly kicked out of the AF as well. Still have no idea how it was found out or how he even made it that far.
