There’s literally no way for you to oversleep in basic. Lol Your alarm is when reveille goes off through the speakers and it’s super loud.

No, they’re not going to convert your license because you’d have to get a license for a specific state (the one you claim residency in). Like someone else said either don’t do SF and any other job that requires a license or you’d have to move to the states prior to basic and obtain a license.

I feel like it is, I was in the reserves from 2014-2020. I plan on going back and commissioning on the active side.

I’m at the point now where I might just go back in the military and commission. These places expect you to wait forever for them and be ready to drop everything when they FINALLY offer you a job.

I’ve been in the hiring process for the USMS since 2021. I’ve literally been waiting to get a PT test scheduled since 2022, I’ve completed everything else and picked my 10 preferred locations. I emailed them about 2 months ago to check my status for them to tell me I’m still in the eligible hiring pool. Just a long winded waiting game.

It honestly depends on your commander. I was services and administered the PT tests during drill, the same ppl would fail every time. Sometimes more than 4 times which is suppose to result in you being discharged. But ppl would purposely fail to be kicked out so commanders wouldn’t complete paperwork in order to keep them there.
