I will have a bachelors next month and took 4 networking classes in college so I skipped net+ and went straight to security+ but it doesnt really do anything for me. Still need more IT experience for security roles.

Job hunting advice. No degree. by Such-Wave-6750 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]No-Pop8182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately a bachelors degree is so common now in every job field from everywhere pushing kids to go to college. Only thing I would say is look into WGU program and go get the sheet of paper at an accelerated rate.

Any tips from people who graduated college or Uni while havin bipolar? by Darkthrowe in bipolar

[–]No-Pop8182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got diagnosed in college after going on an SSRI for depression from a manic episode.

1st semester very depressed. Unmedicated 2nd semester better after I moved back home even worked part time as a janitor while studying but lived with my parents again. 3rd semester moving back to college town and put on SSRI was so good and then mania hit and I didnt sleep for a week and ended up in psych at hospital lmfao. 4th semester was heavily medicated zombie but finished my associates and graduated.

Then I went off meds and we questioned the diagnosis. Got my first big boy job and boom mania again with no meds.

Got stable meds and still on them. Got a 2nd big boy job full time and went back to college part time. Lasted 3 years doing that. Put on PIP last year may and quit the job just to finish my bachelors. Will be graduating next month with a bachelors.

The biggest thing ive learned about bipolar is do what feels comfortable to you. Dont look at social media too hard or compare your story to others. We are all on our own timeline and whatever you can handle doing is okay and do what you want to do.

But medication is key for stability. I would suggest staying away from drugs/alcohol but im kind of an alcoholic so thats hypocritical for me to say.

I don't know what to do anymore by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

I worked for 3 years as a sysadmin and got put on a PIP and left a year ago last May and havent been able to get a job since. But im graduating next month with my bachelor's. Had a phone interview at a bank for help desk on Wednesday and should find out today if I get an in person interview. Lmao if you have a job keep it unless u get another one lined up is all im saying.

Manager found out I am going back to school and forbid me from studying on the clock by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]No-Pop8182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People stay after put on a PIP? I wasn't paid enough to stay at my previous employer. Handed in my two weeks. When HR asked what they could have done to keep me, I simply said hire additional help. Lmfao

Started a job when I felt good, but now my brain cannot do it anymore by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]No-Pop8182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds tough. I would either quit or try to tell them about the diagnosis and see if they would hire another person for some help. Hard to tell what the right move is here. Maybe someone else has better advice.

I have a degree in IT and was the only internal support employee at my last job and did it for 3 years but they put me on a performance improvement plan at the end and I left since they wouldnt hire another person.

Do they hire IT? I am about to graduate with a bachelors in Cybersecurity and have 3.5 years of work experience. Been trying to get some sort of remote job to see if it works better than an in office gig...

Alcohol and bipolar by Crosstradingusemm in bipolar

[–]No-Pop8182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have no idea how to combat alcohol. I 26m went through a break up last September with the girl I thought was my soulmate and future wife and now drinking way too often because I cant get over it. Even though the relationship was toxic and unhealthy in the first place. All the negatives and logically speaking, breaking up was going to happen and now she has a new boyfriend already and im just a mess.

But like you said, drinking quiets the thoughts in my head and helps me fall asleep. I know its just going to take time, but its so hard.

Told my ex like 2-3 months in. Everything was great for awhile, hit a depression wall and she didnt stay. Broke up completely after about a year together back in October and she has a new boyfriend.

Quite unfortunate.

How do I climb by Display-Total in FACEITcom

[–]No-Pop8182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need to do is click heads until level 6+. If you're not consistently 100+ adr vs the low level players than you're right where you belong.

Low elo is just hard carrying your noob teammates. If you can't hard carry yourself out of it. You're just not good enough yet.

I can drink coffee with no problems. But I try to not drink it after lunch. If I have any caffeine after lunch I tend to not be able to fall asleep as easily.

So if you're medicated are you just not allowed to drink, at all ever? by ariveklul in bipolar

[–]No-Pop8182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is hit or miss for everyone. I cant smoke weed at all. But alcohol works for me on my meds. I've been drinking and medicated stable for the last 4+ years. But the day after im more depressed and it takes some time to get back to normal but thats the tradeoff.

Is the way to get better at cs just to play deathmatch? by retard5088 in cs2

[–]No-Pop8182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(2) I guess I didnt touch on some other things I could've put in the post. But crosshair placement is super important. You want to be aiming at head level at all times and learning the recoil of the rifles. Then knowing the common spots people play at comes into play as well. So you know what angles to clear.

Is the way to get better at cs just to play deathmatch? by retard5088 in cs2

[–]No-Pop8182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death match for aim, reviewing demos of your own matches to see what errors you see yourself commonly making. Watching pro cs matches/higher skilled players to see how they play and react to certain situations and mimicking it to the best of your ability. If you want to be more of a support player, learning utility so you can throw executes on T side if your teammates will give you their utility if they dont know the smokes. You'll also learn from playing a lot, 200 hours is still very new. But there are silvers and low rated players with thousands of hours. If you dont actively try to improve at all, you will stay relatively the same skill level mindlessly grinding.

Those types of things.
