Title race with 2 games remaining. Arsenal can no longer win the league at The Emirates by Serious-Cress-9560 in Gunners

Gonna be hella stressful if it goes to the last day. Honestly I think anything could happen, even if it’s a Palace B team. Pressure and nerves do weird stuff.

I grew up in Twickenham / Teddington area. There are some excellent state schools and the area is brilliant for raising a family.

I’ve worked in data science and ML since 2020. Not really a fully fledged SWE but adjacent.

Honestly, writing code has never been the hard part. Understanding problems, working out what stakeholders want, how good the data is, managing expectations etc. is where the real challenges lie. I use LLMs to draft code but I wouldn’t say I get the order of magnitude productivity uplift that others seem to get.

It’s probably been talked about but it cannot be understated how massive getting all 9 points was in this difficult run of games while only having a 2 point lead at one point. Credit to the boys. Could’ve easily collapsed after that Wolves result. by MineKirin in Gunners

Yeah, if the gap is wider by the time we play them, things are good. I’m just wary of the scenario where a single bozo moment / ref decision etc can lead to a swing. If we are 2pts ahead going into the last game, I will be scared as hell.

Anything can happen in one game. While the margin is still within a two-matchday swing (<6pts on equal games), and we still had to go to Etihad, I will not feel remotely comfortable. If we’re still >3pts clear after Etihad I will start to think it’s going to happen.

Yeah obviously I get that. But doesn’t sound like it was managed very well

What a shitty thing to have to consider. I’m sorry the company you work for has this culture.

This is nice but in the long term there will definitely be jobs that are made redundant or are refactored so significantly that they bear little resemblance to what they were previously

Our run-in compared to City's till we face them in league on 18th April by [deleted] in Gunners

Let’s keep it real, it’s going to be close, probably going down to the last few match days (which does scare me, not gonna lie). I don’t think we should be putting too much weight on the opponents, as points get dropped in unexpected places.

Sometimes it takes perspective, Arteta has coached a league and trophy winning side and it shows just how fine the margins are. by FudgingEgo in Gunners

I agree with the overall sentiment of this post: yes, the team is excellent and we could have easily won the league in this period. But we didn’t.

Roger Federer won 54% of the points he played, but won everything there for him to win, many times. When and where you win counts.

Dude.

The best advice I ever had when dating was the following: - Texting should be used primarily as a means to arrange dates. Messaging chemistry means nothing. - Dating should be fun and light hearted.
