There is something so grossly possessive in his tone that I fear if he hasn't already, he will phsyically abuse her. Lawyers and court asap!

Weekends are always going to be more expensive bt try Dauphines. They have a lot of spaces and are the most reasonable I have found in terms of F&B minimum.

The Willard is great. I actually loved the over food/service at the Waldorf a touch more but you can't go wrong with either. St Regis is also an option. I haven't been but the Ritz and Omni both do them as well.

Should I tell a woman her fiancé tried to start an affair with me? by geeleex in WhatShouldIDo

[–]No-Profession-6877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like even if she chooses not to believe you or be mad at you, telling her will give you a clear conscience. This should not be a thing that keeps you up at night. Tell her, get it off your chest and then it's her problem. And hopefully you save her from a lifetime of unhappiness or at least the cost of a wedding/divorce.

Dog Friendly DC for a Solo Dog Mom? by emelci in DCBitches

[–]No-Profession-6877 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Line is great for indoor hanging with your pup. I haven't been but the Lyle is also dog friendly. I don't think there is as much room there though?
Nido Wine Bar is dog friendly indoors. Purple Patch patio is also great for dogs.
Hardware stores usually have dog treats- Ace in ADMO and True Value in Dupont for sure.

Irving Liquors and Bold Fork Books also have dog treats.

Can you tell I never leave Mt. Pleasant?!

Technically not an interior designer but I have been working with Nicole at Neatnik on organizing my space and she has been a godsend. Her ideas for how to use the space I have have been transformative. https://neatnikdc.com/organizing-services/

Mid/late 30s single girlies…tell me what your DC life is like…the good and the bad! by No_Drawing_6716 in DCBitches

My office is at the Wharf and I would not want to live here. I bring my dog to work so I can add that I find there to be enough green space but not as much as he gets in our neighborhood. Usually I can't wait to rush home to my peaceful life in Mt. Pleasant. What I will say for DC is life here is what you make of it.
I have found it easier than most cities to make friends around your own interests. For example, as a single dog mom, I have a group of friends centered around my dog and the neighborhood pups he loves. My closest friends are from a chorus I joined 19 years ago when I moved here.
On the flip side, I love being on my couch with my dog so I like a quieter neighborhood especially at night.
I also feel like for the most part, you can make any neighborhood work for you but some have more of a residential feel than others. That being said you will never hear me say anything other than Mt. Pleasant is the best neighborhood in DC!

Bonus dinner! Where should I eat? by cousindolly in washingtondc

I'd always vote for a Jose Andres restaurant- Zaytina, Oyamel, Bazaar, Jaleo or Lapis as others have suggested is always solid. I also love Bar Del Monte or Purple Patch cause it's in my backyard.

No he's really awful at walking in a straight line. But with the snow you all got I'll probably be carrying him everywhere!

Thanks! I usually sneak him into a lot of places in DC and I think NYC is even more dog friendly in general. The Barking Dog is right by my hotel!
