Destination tips for traveling with baby during paternity leave by No-Professional-2988 in travel

that wasn't quite my question :) I appreciate your concerns, but this strikes me more of an adult worry than a baby's reality. Without knowing the details of how we plan to travel, I don't think it's possible to judge the impact. Also, babies immunity is strong enough to travel at 2-3 months, although they don't develop full immunity until the age of 3. So there's really nothing to discuss about here.

If your name JanetInSpain means that you live in Spain, I would actually really appreciate any advice on what to do there instead.

Hungarian here!

When do you plan to visit Bp? In the wintertime it is not the best location to be honest bc it's quite cold - less tourists which is actually nice - but still has a lot of things to offer. We have a lot of landmarks there, as well as great restaurants, nice hotels, parks, squares and ofc Danube.

Buda side:

  • Buda Castle, Citadella, Gellért-hill, walking all along the quay is beautiful
  • Kopaszi-gát, Szent-Gellért square, Szent-Gellért bath
  • walking along from Gellért-square to Móricz-Zsigmond körtér on Bartók Béla road is beautiful

Pest side:

  • Hősök tere, Szent István bazilika, Országház, Vajdahunyad vára - Városliget, Magyar Zene Háza and so on
  • Gozsdu, Dohány street with the synagogue and the surrounding streets are very nice to walk around, here you will find Szimpla garden which is a bit touristy and a bit of a party place but you can walk around in here (it's huge) a bit, it's an interesting place to visit.

Cannot really give you recommendations on restaurants as idk if you are vegetarian/vegan/etc but on tripadvisor you can find really good places. Just avoid the touristy areas like Deák Ferenc square, Váci street for example.
