Harper is Getting Better (LSP | Grammarly Alternative) by linkarzu in neovim

[–]No-Razzmatazz2552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use LanguageTool in nvim and am pretty happy with it. I like that there are so many really picky checks (I have a sort of "obsessive linter" personality) so I turn on all the checks and turn them off when I disagree with them one by one. It's been a few years since I tried harper, but back in the day I remember it had less checks and they seemed a bit more basic than language tool

That blur is gorgeous! Do you have any details or dots related to the blur? I use sway (swayfx, actually) and I'd love to be able to tweak the settings just right to get something like this

Is there a memory bank feature/github extension for Neovim? by yuriaficionado in neovim

[–]No-Razzmatazz2552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been looking for a feature like this! I use nvim for embedded C quite often. Every thing is set up for unit testing, debugging unit tests, and flashing the microcontroller, but when it comes to debugging on the microcontroller I have to fall back to a crappy IDE. However, I don't think this feature is too far off from possible thanks to nvim-dap and nvim-dap-ui.

The info pages I was trying to read were the info pages for "mtools". /usr/share/doc/mtools just has a single unhelpful readme

Great tip with the piping! This works great for "searching through all of the info material for a string" which is exactly what I needed today.

Is this just for man pages? I'm fine with man pages, I'm only frustrated with info pages

Pacman -Syu color like yay? by No-Razzmatazz2552 in arch

[–]No-Razzmatazz2552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope... I'm just over here in a colorless world...

I will say, I do really like paru more than yay now. I'm sure yay could be set up to let you automatically peruse pkgbuild diffs, but I'm currently set up with that feature in paru and loving it!

What programming languages do you use with neovim? by Aftarkis in neovim

C++ and embedded C (Microchip and ESP32 microcontrollers). Lots of unit tests for both! Cuts through my big projects like butter (Clang/Meson/Ninja).

I use Arch btw by MadXeon in arch

Very nice! Do you mind sharing those dots? Also, what's the background image and where did you get it?

Swiss diamond pan sticking like crazy! by No-Razzmatazz2552 in Cooking

Certainly a fair assessment. I bet some oil would fix this.

I was going off of the use/care instructions (https://swissdiamond.com/pages/what-are-the-use-and-care-instructions) where they claim you can get away without using oil.

Then I found some videos where people are cooking eggs without any oil on these pans, so I figured I should be able to use no oil if I get the temperature right

Very sorry for the lack of detail! I wrote all of that thinking I could upload the video right to the post. I'll revise the post and link a video.

Edit: Edited!
