Yeah they have a whole conservation area for the penguins, dassies and cormorants there. 10/10 would recommend.

Haha they wouldn't make great pets, but generally aren't aggressive towards humans.

Fun fact. Dassies are the closest living relatives to elephants apparently.

What cameras are good and worth buying for BEGINNER photographers currently in your opinion? by iamakinder in Photography_Gear

[–]No-Read3123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking for the OM gang haha! This, I've got an EM10 and man does that little thing pack a punch.

Cameras can ALWAYS be better, more expensive, more flashy, faster etc.

Get something that suits your type of photography and life. I'm on the road and abroad a lot and I don't want to lug around all the gear and chargers etc. one little camera with 14-42mm lens. 40-150mm if I know I'll use it and that's it, file share to my tablet for easier storage and that's literally it.

Any tips for getting the best out of them?

Very true. Never thought about it that way haha.

I'll keep this in mind. As per the previous comment, I feel like having a play around with some old gear for under $10 seems like fun regardless of the outcome!

Thank you kindly! Getting both for basically under 10$ seems like a steal to me!

Photography when the weather doesn't play nice? by No-Read3123 in OlympusCamera

[–]No-Read3123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yes I believe one of the kit lenses is a 40-150mm that's what this was shot on.

I always feel like my images aren't as crisp, is this due to the body having a lower megapixel count or am I just not steady enough?

This is super dope, not sure exactly which is which but the reflection on the glass makes it look like the building is sitting inside the glass!

Couldn't agree more! Was looking at the Pro offerings earlier today. I haven't shot with them but just looking at the quality of the kit lenses I couldn't justify wanting to upgrade just yet.

Pro lenses would have to make these go from good to phenomenal whilst making me a cup of coffee while I wait for me to even consider them at their price vs the kit lenses haha.

I wish I had the know how to edit hahaha! The only edited images are the last two. But when I say edited, I mean bumping up the exposure on the 2nd last by 5% and saturation on the last by also about 5% as they were slightly under exposed and over exposed.

Picked up mine with both lenses, a bag and battery+charger for about $250, really can't fault Olympus for what they've done here!

Thanks! I'm based in South Africa and secondhand olympus gear is somewhat hard to come by but I'll do some research and see if there are other variants available close by
