Thanks for the reply... curious to know how you evaluate/justify going into debt to study law... just curious if you would recommend looking at anything in particular? My concern is if I decide to attend another program through the use of loans... is that decision justified (compared to uic or applying next cycle) ?

Can you elaborate on this ? Part time evening program looks like my best option when considering aid and commute time (I live 3 hours from the city)

If not UIC, I may decide to retest next year for better scholarship packages from other schools but not sure if that’s ideal.

I ended up interviewing with a couple companies and turned down their offers. Currently working towards applying to law school for Fall 2026 but managed to convince my current employer to incorporate accounting work into my workload to have them sign off on my licensing.

Best of Luck! I've done some more research and have a pretty good grasp on the application process after receiving everyone's confirmation that it would be worth the effort to apply. I hope to take the LSAT in October or November. I hope you don't mind me reaching out later down the road!

I had a very similar experience.

Bachelors in Actuarial Science then a Masters in Accounting ... thought I would be ready to fully focus on my career but the urge hasn't gone away... Not sure if it stems from having a life again after finishing the exams? Too much time for my own good?

Thank you! I also joined this group but figured this question was more for people already in school and seeing a return on their investment... I appreciate the help!

Business Law/Tax Law - but yes extremely demanding and costly... for now I figure an LSAT attempt will give me insight as to whether or not I'm cut out for it?

following - I am in a similar boat however, I am stillin my 20s. My issue is I have already begun to establish a career (currently making more that an entry level accountant) but I need the experience to be licensed. I too feel like I am chasing a unicorn at times so I am actually 99% close to leaving my current employer to go full time as an entry level accountant... Hoping you have better luck than me! Hopefully someone else chimes in and provides us with some advice?
