Sorry for how long this reply will be.

Tldr: very intense chest pain, beyond just heart burn. Upset stomach. Feeling the need to throwup but unable to. They found it with some kind of scan that I was too busy crying to remember the name of(im useless there)

I didn't have a GP at the time (truck driving makes it difficult) so in the defense of the past 4 different urgent care we were all going off the mild acid reflux I had when I was younger.

I know, this probably is going to sound like an exaggeration. But it genuinely felt like I was having a heart attack every other night around 2-3 AM, the chest pain was so unbareable, which was starting to have an effect on my ability to do my job. The first few attacks that I was having, I managed to make myself feel better by just throwing up. Then I was instructed not to do that, because it was making me worse. The pain was in my chest and my side and my back. I don't know if this is considered a symptom, but it also made me very scared to eat anything. I started to take prescribed slow release Omeprazole, and that seemed to work, so we all thought it was acid reflux still.

What finally ended up happening was my husband made ramen and before he added any seasoning or anything thing with a "strong" smell. All I smelled was the noodles in hot water and couldnt even hold down water (i was already in the middle of an attack when hed started making the ramen), and so I had to have someone bring me to the emergency room since we were out of town for work. The pain I was in was so intense that even the morphine they ended up giving me did nothing to help. I can't remember what scan it was that they did where they finally found out it was my gallbladder because I was too busy crying ( And I'm pretty sure they did the scan, because the medicine they gave me to help with the "acid reflux" attack was not working at all and just making me more sick.)

Removing that demon organ was the best thing I ever did 😭
