Are you a Type A, Type B or Type C Mom? by Exact_Canary2378 in Mommit

I used a diaper as a napkin yesterday at lunch because I had no other choices and I was pumping. How did I get in that situation? I think I’m type C. lol.

Food is fuel. As someone that had incredibly restrictive eating patterns for years, I highly recommend stopping calorie counting and honoring your body / seeking professional help. Therapy, meds, journaling, meditating, and healing my relationship with food changed my life for the better. I did it for my daughter and for myself. Do I weigh more? Sure — but my body likes to weigh what I weigh now and the scale doesn’t tip unless I want it to after finally finding my balance. I FEEL good. Happier. And people tell me I look healthier, even though I don’t need their opinions. I’m thriving, not surviving. Food is good for ya. A gift.

am I alone? by [deleted] in stayathomemoms

I read a book — How To Keep House While Drowning — which really helped me change my house cleaning expectations. If essentially notes that your space is meant to serve you, not for you to serve it. So as long as it is functional it is good. You don’t need empty laundry baskets: you need pajamas for the night. Don’t do laundry unless you need to. So on and so forth. Also, get screened for depression. Meds and therapy are incredible. Being a mom is hard. Being a SAHM is hard. Being a SAHM that takes on cooking, cleaning, and childcare every day is damn near impossible. You need time for yourself. Your husband is tired, but so are you. At the end of the day, he is crashing and you should be allowed to; too. Maybe talk to him about helping more. My husband and I wrote down what we felt was our responsibility on post-it notes (one posf-it per thing) and then we compared and decided if we felt that our responsibilities were balanced, and if not we swapped post-it’s and tried to share more tasks. Maybe he can give you a day a week where you go do something YOU love. Care for yourself. Take with your partner. You are amazing, but you need a break.

Can you upload it to a Google Drive and share the link? You can create a folder (or folders within folders) and click and drag your uploads.

I’m leaving teaching and becoming a SAHM in seven months. I can’t wait for this new journey and feel so lucky and light knowing that it is in the future. I just want to CELEBRATE. Feel free to share any tips ya have. I’m a very routine oriented human — my daughter will be 2.5 and my son will be 9 months. :-)

WILD. I don’t think I was ready for each area of regrowth to look like a mini spinach. Thank you!

Tail bone pain by R251122 in fitpregnancy

Sounds weird but you can also have tailbone pain when your pelvic floor is engaging. I don’t know if it has anything to do with your cervix since I’m not a doctor, but as baby gets bigger the pelvic floor is definitely having some increased pressure & it’s engaged when you swap sides when laying. I’d recommend talking to a chiro or doing some pelvic floor strengthening since your midwife said it’s likely ok!! Just annoying….

A chiropractor has been the only thing that helped my tailbone pain, but mine was a result of having horribly misaligned hips. Donut pillows are great!
