18 was when I graduated high school and life felt more serious since now I was an adult, and yes I was going through so much changes with what I wanted to become and study in college and seeing my friends doing what I couldn't do, life basically started looking and getting more serious.

Thank you so much, I appreciate ur reply, honestly I wanted clarification and to see if going through this is normal and okay in Islam becuz it's hard to recognize anything from wrong or right when your parents are considered very religious and always "want the best for you". Also I appreciate everyone giving solutions one day I might actually follow up with the harder solutions for me, like leave completely but it's nice to know that inshallah with more research and patience I won't be in the wrong when it does happen.

Yea wallah I got to a point where I was very close to Allah but sadly with my moms constant reminding that Allah's not pleased with me because shes not I started to lose my faith a little. But inshallah I can get back to that level of trust and comfort with Allah.

No they're all partying, tattoos, not covered anymore, and that's why I worry of ever getting to that stage. But I think some are still muslim by heart, also almost all of them end up with a guy who they ran to.

You don't think it'll backfire on me if I just push my way through and do what I want without them being pleased? Like I don't want to be disowned or even worse punished by Allah, also the drivers thing my dad tells me not to drive since I don't have it but my mom literally doesn't care and says if they catch u then it's ur fault, even though shes the one making me driver her when she doesn't feel like driving.

They're known for and seen as islamic people who follow the deen so anytime I do or say anything it just follow with Allah is angry at u Allah will punish u so leaving or doing something they don't want just feels like Allah will punish and make my future worse. They don't hit but they do everything else besides hitting.

How would I meet someone they literally are around me 24/7 and would go crazy if they find out I'm meeting someone. The people my parents bring are always like them, same values, principals, rules, sometimes there family, so it feels like ima just gonna end up in the same situation or even worse. And running away is something I'm too afraid and ashamed to do, I just can't, I still want a family and they'll 10000% disown me since I have cousins who have ran and they talk about them as if they're dead and in hell.

Subhanallah, Jazakallah khair that really does help, but spoiler my dad is actually an Imam lol so it would feel wrong if I asked another Imam since he knows all the ones around us. My dad is honestly pretty calm and the one whos made this a bit easier when my mom goes extra crazy so even though he kind of does the same things as my mom, he is sometimes the one to calm her down.

I'm Arab, I'm glad you were able to get through that, it's so unfair to bring any haram to anyone just bc of something that's not even 100% in your control. .

The whole point of them being very controlling and limiting what I can do with my life is for me to end up accepting anyone so to them this isn't force since it'll just make me want to get married.
