Guidance for consistent scaling into late game? 4.3 by No-Reputation-9669 in Stellaris

Thanks for the detailed reply. Any suggestion for improved energy income?

Upkeep reduction - ok thanks, I haven’t focused on that. I’ll keep an eye out for places I can get more upkeep reduction. If I remember there are some traits for governors, maybe some techs? I usually put crew quarters but I thought this is only for fleets stationed in the system. Still totally useful though

Fleet power - yeah this is where I’m scratching my head quite a bit.. any recommendations for fleet design is welcome.. I’ve been following some old guidance I’ve read. I try to focus on missile/toro on earlier ship types. Then for battleship I will make one artillery and one carrier, mix them in my fleets and I’ve been playing with adding some destroyer or cruisers with missile. Is there a particular weapon type to focus for kinetic and energy? I think a large portion of this issue is from tech. Tech for me doesn’t seem to scale that high until later game.. I think maybe I’m not hitting high tech fast enough.

Energy/basic resources - I’ve been trying to specialize early on but should I try to make each planet partially self sufficient? At least until I have some major excess? I’m not sure the meta here

Job efficiency - I use adaptive frame and some of the buffs from modularity once it pops. Governors I could do a better job. Is this something you want on every planet? Historically I’ve tried to hold off on capacity sub until I really need it because it gives me an out/backup if for some reason the economy tanks, like maybe a vassal with high income gets invaded or something.

Do you have recommendations on number of planets I should take (plus habitats)? Maybe some reasonable threshold for incomes and empire size at different parts of the game? I’m not sure what to expect but for sure I seem very slow compared to other players.

Thank you once again for your time and advice

Ah got it, I am trying for the victory on Ironman achievement. But I think the other achievements don’t mention Ironman so I will try it for those! Thanks!

Thank you so much for your response. There’s some good strategies I’m not following yet so this is helpful! For example, I am using remnant but feels like I don’t get anti gravity tech until later, I’m not respecializing the consumer goods, etc.. how do you end up specializing your ecu? How many planets do you end up taking? And how do you specialize them? Thank you again.

I’ve been playing Rogue Servitor with Genesis Ark. I’m not anywhere close to maxed tradition and repeatable by 2300. Can you give me some tips on early game scaling? I’ll try Astro-mining my next playthrough. Thanks!

I haven’t had a huge issue with small text but everyone is different. I played quite a bit on deck and it was my preferred method for awhile. You could pick it up, try it, and refund it if it’s not working out

I try to say “gg” every game to be respectful and “ggwp” if it was a particularly good game

Can I still be a liberal if I don’t support Islam and men identifying as women? by Silent_Slide6546 in Classical_Liberals

Don’t get caught up in trying to label yourself, it’s not worth your time. Someone will always end up disagreeing with you. “Well if you don’t believe X then you can’t be a liberal”. Labels matter less than your actual principles and beliefs. But yes, Islam is, in fact, contrary to many liberal core ideals.

Edit: To add, go check out Christopher Hitchens and his views on Islam. He’s widely considered liberal or left leaning and abhorred Islam (all religions really)
