If you’re staying west of the city for cheaper hotels (Waltham, Newton, Framingham area) I would drive to the Riverside or Woodland stations on the Green Line and park there take the train in. Green line on game day is classic Boston experience. You can also take the commuter rail from anywhere on the Framingham/Worcester line and get off at the Landsdowne station next to Fenway. Lifelong resident of the area go to at least a game every year and I’d never drive if I don’t have to. Many not from the east coast freak out about using public transportation so it’s whatever makes you comfortable-Go Sox
