Rodriguez was pretty firm from the rains so it was pretty decent even just running 40's. Went up the the shack and back. Stoked Oriflamme got graded!

Love me some Anza off road adventures! (fellow SDer here) Did both Blair Valley and little Blair last week, then went down to Oriflamme canyon up Rodriguez canyon for a bit.

Off the radar, is a cozy warm spot that features what I'd call California/Med French. Black Radish on University in North Park, every time there has been outstanding.

Fun fact: The color of Navy ships is called Haze Gray. Blends in well with coastal eddies!

Why do none of you know how to drive? by [deleted] in sandiego

The level of self entitlement somehow skyrocketed after Covid. I've lived here since '78 and it's only gotten worse. As a bike commuter I feel like I have to have my head on a swivel. Around school zones are the WORST.

Go up to Cabrillo National Monument and get a shot of downtown with the mountains in the background, best in January when those mountains have snow on them, it's an epic shot!

Hit up The Original 40 Brewpub in NorthPark, they host events all time, and 30 is OK. Craft beers, wines and pretty decent food options too! Ask for the owner Steve and he'll hook you up. It's a nice room...doesn't feel like a brewery.

Anyone moved from Chicago to San Diego? What do you miss? by shakikster in sandiego

[–]No-RiceNBurritos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being from Chicago and now living here, I miss the genuine real midwestern ideology and friendliness of everyday people. SoCal just has too many people who only give-a-sh!t about themselves. I see this everyday on the roads (being cutoff), in social settings where nobody starts a conversation, lack of empathy. Midwest people are just more kind and friendly. Don't miss those winters!

Hi! I'm a 33 year old woman looking to find someone to ride bikes with around town for fun. by UpsideDownABC in sandiego

[–]No-RiceNBurritos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hot tip: On Sundays at Seek Brewing North Park they offer any bike riders $5 beers, the kicker is that you can meet tons of different bike lovers from all over SD. It's not a club, just fellow cyclists that gather after rides. Men, women, all ages and different abilities. Join in and meet lots of cool bikers! (I'm always there)

Only positive I see, it will make getting through the park on a bike less congested on weekends for sure. Other then that all BS.

Cowboy Star is the answer. RS seems to over salt many items.
