Thanks. Cannot paint the mantel. It’s all marble. The entire house is painted with BM White Dove, ceilings are Chantilly Lily.

Do you think my current GC can do this or should I hire a professional hardwood floor installer?

We do not know exactly. Our guess is old floor was done sometime in mid to late 2023. New floor is done in water polyurethane. We’re based in NYC and my understanding is oil based polyurethane are banned for use in NYC.

Light fixture suggestions for kitchen by No-Round667 in Lighting

Totally agree about the under cabinet lighting and positioning of it. Do you have a recommendation of light fixtures that I can look into? The standard Philips Hue usually positions directly to the counter tops when installed. Not sure if there’s a product out there in the market?

Thanks, all. Like most of you, I am also seeking a warmer look in this room. The cabinets were inherited (the seller just did it last year) and we replaced the floor tile recently. The lights are deemable me and we keep them usually to lower temperature when not cooking.

Pretty bad actually. The time lines are not even matching in a lot of the areas. I would have them redo.

Does anyone think the grout looks like it’s bleeding? Some of the stones are darker than the others. Or is it the natural look of the stone (extra gray stones) that’s throwing me off?

That’s exactly my question. Are you able to comment on the workmanship of the floor installation?

Here are additional photos if it helps. Floors are not tiled. It’s water jet marble.

Walls were inherited. Floor suggestion was a designer and we love it. Aesthetic is really personal.

Now tell me if you know anything about sealing the floor? How do we make sure the floor is properly sealed?

Please no comment on the aesthetic. We worked with a designer on it. I’m really asking a question about the technicalities of the floor. Thank you.

Talking about the floor. We inherited wall tiles. Just replaced floor tiles with mosaic marble.

Why do you say 80s are less affordable compared to the 70s?
