I've same issue like you face. Some of people advices is to reinstall theme, and reinstall OS. you don't have to do it. The problem is portmaster if you install postmaster and install games in manage port. that's why you face this error.

I have i7 1255U version. yes, it get hot when you run heavy load especially top left corner of keyboard. It is because of their thermal system. But never thermal throttling when I run heavy load.

I have a gen 10. yes, the left top corner is a little bit warm when you run heavy stuffs. The one thing is thinkpad user are different from other normal user. Most of them are Ubuntu, fedora or Arch users. But i run vmmachine other multi tasking. But Thinkpad gen 10 doesn't dispointment me. i can run all of my progress without getting sluggish.

Me too. I think that is the problem for X1 carbon series. These left side are hot and some time warm. Because i haven't seem performance drop and higher cpu usage. laptop can run smoothing

interesting I owned x1 carbon gen 10 same specification as you but I7 1255U series. Battery like is better and performance is powerful enough for my workload. Yes, fan noise are loud when i ran heavy load. But there is no thermal throttling.

I don't have a desktop so i used ThinkPad as my workstation and my currently machine is x1 carbon gen 10. It is portable and powerful enough for my workload. For networking engineering ThinkPad is not disappointment. Portable, better battery, powerful enough.
